    also, spray it a few times with PB Blaster penetrating oil and let it sit for about an hour, that stuff works great, i am yet to find anything that compares

    '70 Duster front-end rebuild + steering box

    my guess is you need a new steering box, i'm in the same pickle as you. im rebuilding my front end and adding disc brakes before i stick my new engine in. just ordered the kit from PST ($379) this morning. and i just ordered a rebuilt steering box from advance auto yesterday for $244 + core... ouch.

    Flaming River Steering Box. Worth the money?

    I was wondering your guys's opinions on these, they seem nice, but way too expensive. It seems the only option for a new one is Either Flaming river or firm feel.

    k-member removal

    i plan on doing that too with my car, now a /6 soon to be 360. i got a donor car and ripped all the goodies off of that, k member, disc brakes, torsion bars and rear end, but it was a little easier without the engine in the way. i plan on ripping the /6 k member out and having the newly rebuilt...

    3.21 8 3/4

    or easier yet...does it HAVE a rear differential cover?? the 8 3/4 rears were solid in the back, and opened in the front. My guess is it is an 8 1/4. and it is possible you have 3.21 gears, thats what my 8.25 came with.

    I got mine from Espo and i may be mistaken but i do believe they offer 1 and 2 inch below stock height also.

    what leaf springs

    i got mine from espo.com, you can choose between 5 and 6 leaf and get them custom arched from 2 inches below to 2 inches above stock height. I got the 5 leaf +2 inches and it is plenty stiff for me. Raised the rear quite a bit.

    Raising the read suspension

    i have a pair of gabrial air shocks on the back of my duster. It gives it a nice stance. I like the raised back end look. The onlt problem i found is that when it gets cold outside the seals tend not to seal up right and they leak out all the air. right now it has the stock slant six springs...

    how much hp can i run on the stock 74 duster body before i need to beef it up? or would it be a good idea to add subframe connectors anyway?
