    simply vanished !!!

Gremlins, they're everywhere! They get more plentiful as you get older. I had my steering wheel off yesterday trying to figure out why my horn kept blowing when I turned the wheel. I went to put the steering wheel back on, and I couldn't find the nut that holds it on. I looked all over, three...

    Gave up and sold out...

I was thinking about doing the same thing last year. I stuck it out and got a renewed interest in my Barracuda. I'm putting air conditioning in it right now. My first new car was a '71 Challenger. It would be cool if my last one would be a challenger.

    Dogs & pills....

Always had good luck with peanut butter. If you have to resort to drastic measures, you can pinch the dog's cheeks to open his mouth. Put the pill as far back in his mouth as you can get it and hold his mouth shut. Gradually release your grip. Watch for the dog to lick his nose. When the nose is...

    any motorbike enthusiasts?

A little update on my bike. Mecum has a 1951 model up for auction on April 13. This one is totally restored. The description says it was made by a Swedish company. There is a Monark bicycle company in Sweden which I believe is still in business, but hey did not make these bikes. The Monark...

    any motorbike enthusiasts?

Here's an update on my bike. I bought a running engine off eBay. The original engine has way too many parts missing. Also located an original motor mount. I put a throttle control/ hand grip off a Chinese scooter until I can find an original. After a few cranks, it fired up! I need to find a...

Has anyone tried WIPE NEW product yet? Looking for honest review...

Here's an update on the Wipe New. It's been about 14 months since I put this on my Avalanche. The "zebra striping " that the first gen avalanches are known for is still barely visible. It's not as shiny as it was when first applied, but not nearly as chalky as it was before I applied it, but...

My plans right now are to get it running and clean it up. I think it would be a shame to do a full restoration on this.

what to do to prevent ticks on my dog

My dogs use trifexis without any problems. Also, contact your local Avon rep and get some Skin so Soft. Put a 50/50 solution of water and SSS in a spray bottle and liberally spray it on your dog. It is very effective at repelling ticks ,Mosquitos and many other little pests. It also works on...

    optima battery

Found this on the Optima web site How do I charge a deeply discharged battery? If an OPTIMA battery is deeply discharged (below 10.5 volts), most basic chargers will not supply a charge. Also keep in mind that an OPTIMA battery will not recharge properly if treated as a regular flooded or gel...

Has anyone tried WIPE NEW product yet? Looking for honest review...

Yes, I used it about 5 weeks ago on my 2005 avalanche. The bed covers and the plastic sail panels on the first generation Avys are especially prone to fading and "zebra striping". I got the "double size" 3 oz. bottle and the application kit. My avalanche doesn't have the body cladding on the...

Bought an antique tractor last week, anyone like em?

That Farmall M sure brings back memories! When I was living at home, we had a 1953 MTA. It was our "big" tractor. We farmed 260 acres with the M and a 1948 Ferguson 30. I think it is the only year they made them with the torque amplifier. They were extremely unreliable. Ours broke twice before...

    Goodbye old friend..

Sorry to hear about your loss. We have a 14 yr. Old Yorkie that is blind, partially deaf, and missing most of his teeth. He gets around surprisingly well, but I know that the day is coming soon that we will have to make the same decision that you made. I really dread that day.
