    Big Block Rocker Shaft Shims

Arent slant six a pedestal type rocker assy? I was thinking of a typical BBM rocker shaft that sits in the concave of the cast-in stand in the head.

    Sound ok?

Too much noise, I just watched your second video and something is going to fly apart if you dont find it now, that is if it is in the valve train, or as stated already could be an exhaust leak. Tightening the header bolts wont correct it, you will need to replace the gaskets. Either way I hope...

    Big Block Rocker Shaft Shims

The shims are for setting lifter preload correctly, like stated above after head resurface or block decking, on a non adjustable valve train.

    TTI headers mini starter clearance

No issues here, 440 with large tube TTI's with mini starter. Possibly you have incorrect headers for app. or something wrong with the headers... more info on build will help.

    Sound ok?

Get on that valve adjustment and it will quite down a bit. What heads are you running, you can tighten them up a bit more then spec for aluminum heads. What is the valve clearence on the cam you are running?

priming the oil pump after storage

Wow you are putting yourself thru a lot of trouble there, I hit the key and away I go and my car sits for 6 mo. at a time here in Maine with the long winters we have. I have never had a lick of trouble, if your engine was built right it will be fine. When changing the oil just prefill the filter...

Help me identify this cam number

Number stamped on back of cam is 930710, came out of a 440. Been trying to figure out exactly what cam I have, been 10 years at least since I removed it from an engine I didnt build for a customer and just want to put specs with it so I can try to sell it. It is a hyd. lifter cam.

    Headers

BBM with auto is a no brainer, shumaker mounts, your choice of headers, plug and play.

    Headers

I run TTI, I do not have stg6 heads though, but I do run a 4 spd. If the stg6 headers are the same pipe configuration and the main difference is the mounting flange then with TTI's Z bar it will be plug and play. TTI was very helpful to me any time I called with any questions I had.

    1969 barracuda 383 formula s temperature/timing help

Do you have access to a temp gun to get an accurate reading on temp? Does it heat up when cruising and normally stay cool at idle? Need to know how hot HOT is, stock guages and senders can be misleading.

    How Tight Is It?

Do it and dont look back. I love mine and wouldnt trade out for a small block for anything. You will need schumaker mounts, TTI headers, lose the pwr stg, and there it is. I run a champ rad with belt driven big blade mopar clutch fan. There are other headers but TTI fits soooo nice! They are a...

Headers or Manifolds for a 67 4spd Cuda

I found the pics I took. Yes I know it was leaking a terrible amount of oil and it was my fault... note to self, when taking an engine off the shelf that has sat for 20+ years replace valve cover gaskets before installing in car... The mini starter actually sticks out and interferes with the Z...

Headers or Manifolds for a 67 4spd Cuda

I run the set up and it works great. I have the shumaker mounts on an SB K frame, TTI 2" headers with there 3" X exhaust system. A883 4spd with a Lakewood bell. You HAVE to use TTI's Z bar and it works great. If you remove the torsion bars you can install the headers after you install the...

    440 needs to be Cool

I use a Champion rad, prop fan on a clutch, 160 T stat, never seen anything over 180 and that was on a 90+ degree day, usually it runs at 165. This is an 11:1 engine on pump fuel, alum heads too. I love that Champion rad, had a BeCool in front of a mean 340, always ran hi on temp, never really...

Oil pressure/ new oil pump prime

If a lifter popped out you would have noticed how poorly the engine was running as soon as it happened. Did you try a second guage yet to make sure your original guage is correct? Seems odd that it ran and sounded the same when you noticed it had no OP, it does not take long for lifters to start...
