Well, I just pulled the trigger on a 600hp unit and fuel command center. We'll see how it goes. FiTech is having a "production delay" so it may be a few weeks before it gets here. In the mean time, I need to decide if I'm going to keep an electric carb pump in the back of the car, or go back...

I'm running a Carter Street Strip, and it's enough to make you go def....but it's going to stay on the car a little longer until I spring for the EFI here in the near future.

Since we are on this topic, what about when you have a new tank and a new sending unit? Both are from Specter (made in Canada) and both came with seals and lock rings. In this case should I use the new stuff? The new lock rings are the same diameter as the original, but the recess in the tank...

So...where is the best place to get a replacement throttle cable? Mine is disintegrating, and starting to bind. Are there any direct replacements out there, or should I go with a Lokar (or other) aftermarket universal?

Well the ones around here didn't have anything that would even remotely work. I ended up buying a throttle spring from year One. It still has issues, even with the new Year one spring.. If you disconnect the kickdown spring, everything is fine, but with that stupid spring attached there is just...

Where is the best place to get a replacement throttle return spring for an LA motor? My spring is of unknown age and isn't pulling the linkage all the way back. Is this the sort fo thing I can get at the local parts store, or am I going to need to order it?

WOW, that's a lot of fuel lines....LOL I run a Fram inline off the shelf filter before my Carter, then another see-through filter before my regulator in the engine compartment. Yes, I know it's not race legal, but it's a street car.

I use the same regulator with a local gauge to set pressure. Line is 3/8 but I ran it along the stock route to keep it away from the headers. I'll get a better picture of how it dumps into the carb when I get home tonight. I have a Carter AFB 625, so I didn't need to fuss with a dual feed setup...

One definate advantage: With an electric system, there is no messing around trying to reprime the fuel system after your car sits all winter. I remember having to do that on my dad's 66 Charger and it sucked.:wack: I am with Don (FBO) on this one: [/font]

Are you running a dual feed carb on a 318? Or are those return lines? Guess I could always switch to a plastic..or maybe mine IS plastic...I can't remember. I'll have to check.

I have a .030 over 360. I know, the fuel system is overkill, but the factory line needed to be replaced, and it was only a few dollars extra to step up to 3/8 line and guarantee I had plenty of fuel. I recommend using a roll of aluminum line. It's easy to bend, the flaring kit and bending...

I have a Carter Street/Strip 72gph 7.5psi mounted in the rear axle well above the right side fender tube. It's currently plumbed into the stock tank, but I'd like to get an after market tank eventually (I like Don's with the sump). I also have 3/8 line front to back. It all seems to work fine.

That's correct Rumble. The line comes straight out of the carb. That is why I had to use the 1/2" spacer, because the filter is a 1/2" drop base, and wouldn't clear the line. Assuming his fuel line drops down out of the carb, he should be able to run a 3.5" non drop filter and clear everything...

I have a 360 with an Airgap and 625 Carter, and it fit both the stock single snorkle smog air cleaner, and a 3" Edelbrock air cleaner. I even have the 1/2" spacer under my edelbrock to clear my fuel line.

I know you already have the line, BUT, why 5/16? Are you doing a restoration? Usually stepping up means 3/8" line.
