I've found the HF discs don't last anywhere near as long as the good ones from my LWS. No comparison. Sometimes you really do get what you pay for, but not always.

I spoke with a few vendors about building a carbon hood, or doing my hood in carbon, and nobody will touch it, markets too small and costs are too high.

You should definitely get a hold of Jeff @ 521 Restorations then. I've bought from him the last two years and am placing another order next week. I quote this through anybody I can find and he is always the best in pricing, and he's a Mopar guy if that means anything to you.

I heard pretty good "daily driver" feedback from guys on the Maaco's of the world. Recommendation is always do the body and prep work first. Get it right and perfect and it will turn out pretty good.

Would be nice to see door skins and roofs. Fenders is a good start though. They do have additional pieces available that are not yet on their website, so I'm told. I understand they have the decklid filler panel available but it's not on their site, last I looked anyway.

Don't use fiberglass, it will crack as well! My steel hood has cracks in every corner of the fiberglass scoop where it was attached to the hood using fiberglass resin.

The Dynamic Renovations kit is a very good kit. I tried using it on my but my jambs were way too gone so I'm replacing mine. Have them in the garage and should get them done this winter.
