13.3's to 11.8's to Forget it...

When I first put this 360 in, backed by 2.45's and a stock 904, I posted a thread about what it might run. Most said 15's and 16's including the gurus. ONE person said mid 14's. When it ran I said it's faster. Even though I said what I felt, I was told I was wrong. NONE of them said anything or showed up when I got it to go 13.9.
LOL... Okay I'll repeat myself one more time... There is a whole different ball park going from 15 to 13 then 13 to 11.8 LOL...
Just admit it you've never built-in an abody before that did in 11.8 and it's quite apparently shows by the way you talk about doing it so easily..
 
Well you know the drill by now,get as much compression as you can however you can,good converter,put the car on a diet and not to beat a dead horse but gears gear gears!

you missed my point. The gurus guessed on my combo and guessed wrong. I told you before I've gone faster in a A-body than what I'm at now... LOL

Are you kidding me I still got tar and feather on me from putting the tunnel ram on my stock 318 bottom end and going faster...
But again that was all above 13 second stuff... Luckily when I threw the rod bearing it still drove back home. And actually beat the Honda the next day going to storage... Back before I had my garage..

Yes you said that you went faster but I don't believe you had any Time Slips to back it up or at least ones that you will show. And I know for a fact they were not 11.8..??..

according to you I don't need to worry, because I wont' be close to 11.8's. :D Just small block mopars alone, I bet I've owned 50 and never lost an engine.

If you are referring to the pistons stock cast are pretty stout, at the horsepower/rpm level he will be at and as long as detonation is kept under control it would be fine. An engine builder put it to me like this (he was referring to nitrous tune ups and pistons):
cast piston you get one chance
forged you get a few

easy there big boy let's get to the 11.8 before you start talking tens!!!... again do I have to say it till I'm blue in the face this is not the 15 to 13 game it's the 11-8 game and you've never been there in your own a body Mopar and you'll find out what it takes and it ain't going to be tuning in filing on heads.. it's going to be serious horsepower parts and it should start from the bottom up not from the top down.. and from the back forward like everybody's telling you the gears... The only reason I'm going to get away with 355 is because of something I don't even want to mention because I know that isn't on your radar just like nitrous isn't...

No I wasn't referring to the cast I was just referring to the low compression...

The problem is we've been per saying 11.8, now it's time to start grinding and buying parts and doing it..

I got behind and didn't get over here early enough and I'm going home to get the distributor to the dude who can make it work.
