Why not do block off plates like the max wedge cars used? True, kind of a hassle removing the covers but a lot cheaper!
Contined today to disassemble the engine bay. I really lilke when I'm the first who does it since it was built.
Ulf! I think I know the feeling! It looks like there were never any suspension parts replaced and the interior and body was all original. the engine compartment, interior and body will not remain that way! The suspension came apart so easy!
I wish that every car you dis-assemble was that way. It makes Life so much easier.
Re the headers I did some more measuring and I'm almost sure that Djakken was right. Spitfire headers is the way to go.
'I'm not sure but does anyone know what manufacturers that did headers for early A:s except fenderwell headers? What I know of is only Doug Thorley and Spitfire. Hope fpor any help!
Thanks FABO!:glasses7:
I would leave the tag on; what are you going to do?
Wow Reedmans Dodge in Langhorn PA. Never thought I'd hear about a little 65 dart in Sweden being bought all the way in pennsylvania especially from a dealer i know of. Its truly a small world. I used to live in New Jersey, my nephew purchased a 3/4 ton 4 door 4x4 dodge pickup truck chassis cab with dump body from them a couple years back for his landscaping business.
Wow Ulf, a new build. I will be checking it out. Great find on the dart. I noticed it had shoulder belts. Was that something that had to be added when the car came into Sweden to be legal?
In case you didn't see it in my longroof thread, your NOS camshaft/and lifters and the motor mounts will go out today in Anders' package. More pieces of the puzzle falling in place!
If you mean can you just swap the brake pedal, I would think so but you know how they did things back the day! I'll compare my automatic one with my brake/clutch assembly.
Too bad you have your steering box ready to go! Is it the 24 to 1 box? I have a 20 to 1 steering sector that would be perfect for it!
Today I found the cover that goes around the steering column. They didn' t have that hole for the clutch rod! Some paint and it will look new. I enen got the firewall gasket kit from DMT.
On the Dart GT I parted out, I sent my steering column plate without clutch hole to Leanna who powder coated it in shiny black but can't use it since I'm going 4 speed. Luckily, I have another plate with the clutch hole but it needs media blasting and painting (or send it to Leanna )
[quote-65dartcharger;1971004027]But the steering column will be a story.........
