I didn't mention any names in the video however several people here wanted me to tag him. If he is the same person as Steve Clair Young on Facebook well here you go.

He wanted to be paid by Paypal using the "Friends and Family" method so he didn't have to pay the fee from Paypal. Like I said in the video, I am way to trusting and went ahead and paid him that way. Now I can't be reimbursed by Paypal because I used that method. Very smart of him and he was much more clever than me.I think that if @partsmonsta wanted to continue to advertise here and restore or sell anything else, he needs to make things right with you. To me, that would mean a complete refund, and I would want proof of insurance on anything being shipped by him.
I always pay for additional insurance to cover the cost of shipping just in case I need to reimburse someone.
I also only use USPS as a last resort, and if the part is not fragile.
I’ve recovered many mail bags from airport belt loaders where the mail was destroyed.
This packing here shows me that he is too irresponsible to be trusted with classic parts.
I know it's too late, but all he had to do was add 4% to the charge to cover the fee for "goods and services," then both the buyer and seller are happy. That is exactly why I never buy anything from anyone anywhere that demands using Friends and Family because they're not smart enough to include the fee in the selling price..He wanted to be paid by Paypal using the "Friends and Family" method so he didn't have to pay the fee from Paypal. I prefer other payment methods when selling parts. If it has to be PayPal, I again prefer its friends and family. I never demand it, the only reason for friends and family is because of the tax reporting requirement. It’s not worth it to me to go that route. That is exactly why I never buy anything from anyone anywhere that demands using Friends and Family because they're not smart enough to include the fee in the selling price..
That seems like two different issues. Not wanting to pay taxes and ripping people off. Pretty soon all of those money order or checks till they clear sales will be scrutinized.I prefer other payment methods when selling parts. I believe if you are going to rip people off, you won’t for long.
What goes around comes around.
Good point and I'm surprised that the post office or whomever even accepted that packaging. In this case insurance would not have helped cause any shipper would say insufficient packaging and shipper would not be liable. Given the flimsy box it would take a miracle for it to arrive undamaged. Fedex, UPS, USPS none would cover that damage even if fully insured, none of them. So saying it should been insured is pointless if its not packaged sufficiently.
Restoration guy is totally negligent on packaging. If he does not fully reimburse he should be banned from this site.
I pay taxes, it’s just let’s say have a part you sell for x amount of money. The government doesn’t know how you got it. You may have bought it, got it with/in a car or truck. It’s not 100% profit. Why should we have to deal with every little thing we buy and sell in this world as private citizens and report it as profit? That seems like two different issues. lol, I'm not arguing that point or saying you don't pay taxes.I pay taxes, it’s just let’s say have a part you sell for x amount of money. The government doesn’t know how you got it. If I misunderstood you, I apologize. It seems at times that some people will stereotype, if you use f&f=not paying taxes. OR, you will rip an unsuspecting member off.lol, I'm not arguing that point or saying you don't pay taxes.

Seems like the trim pieces could be straightened out. Could you send them back to him an have them repaired? I'd maybe call him and try to reason with him.
How were they shipped to him to begin with? Did you take any photos?
BTW, folks,
A few years back I posted a trick I discovered for painting the black stripe on my 68 Barracuda Grill, trunk trim and console lid.
I completed this about 6-7 years ago and black stripes are still perfect.
Here is is again for anyone who's interested.
These grills and exterior anodized trim can be done by anyone with a bench grinder and a little patience.
I would be glad to provide more info if needed so you can do this yourself.
Painting black stripe on 68 barracuda Grill, taillights, marker lights and taillights.
Goes without saying. The question is who is paying for the repairs? The parts can definitely be repaired.
That's nice, but doesn't help the op with his dilemma and he isn't going to attempt the repairs himself..Here's my grill sections, done at home with no special tools but, a lot of time and patience and, they were the originals and pretty rough after 50+ years, especially the headlight trim bezels.
