I know but I just loves the sound of a sbm turning 7500. It calls to me.
it says, hey are you going shift or not.
LOL...… you'll have to send me the details of the motor your running first. I'd be interested in looking over the details :)

My car will have plates and insurance but since it is over a 100 miles to the track I will be trailering it most likely.

if I had a trailer, I'd trailer mine too. It saves the cool down period time, plus, like Dartfreak said, just in case.....

That's badass! I have to give it too you! Lol when and if I race mine I will probably trailer it if I can find one. I don't have a trailer I have been looking for a cheaper used one. I don't plan on racing enough to justify buying a nice one lol I get to the track tho and that all may change lol. If I get totally addicted I will buy another car tho because I don't want mine to be a race car! It's a driver I want to drive it daily to work or whatever.

I used a $55 U-Haul trailer a few times. Till I went in on one with a nabor/ friend.
Kind of nice, no maintenance, storage ect...

Those u-haul trailers suck.
I would only use one, if I absolutely had to.
I finally bought a new one. $2150 which was not too bad price wise.
I added a winch and tool box, to make it more user friendly.

You must have had a completely different experience than I have with the U-Haul trailer. I found it absolutely great! I believe my friend and I are about the same amount into our used trailer As You Are. One of the first things I did was copy with the U-Haul trailer had the driver side fender drop so I can get my door open. I thought it was kind of cool that it had the surge brakes also and didn't have to connect anything except for the lights. Now I have electric trailer brakes that I need a mechanism for and all that it's a little bit more of a hassle and more maintenance. But it is ours and at the ready anytime we need it. Just my experience Others May Vary...

I hate the surge brakes on the u-haul trailers.
I would much rather have electric brakes.
Look at Curt brand for a controller, super simple to hook up.

There is a man named j par.
Who insists I post pics of my car.
He want's thee to post a slip.
To prove my pass down the strip.
Although I'd like to post.
For now I'll remain a ghost. :D

We had a two wheel dolly for years. Don't know why, but we sold it. I never did use it to pull a car to the drag way. Before that, I had a trailer with a winch that I did use for hauling cars. But, with highway geared cars, I enjoy the drive.

I thought about buying one of those dollies I found one cheap locally on fb. But I thought about it and in a case of breaking a rear end or something like that you still wouldn't be able to get the car home would you?

You say I "insist" and that is not true, don't start spreading fake news like you know who... I'm not one to believe everything I read on the internet from the masses, I would like to know if your blowing wind up our asses... You say you live close and are friends with yellow rose, you should race him and see where it goes... And see if he shows!! LOL you see everyone you're talking to has shown pictures of their cars, that shows were real people not internet stars... It doesn't bother me but as a result, I'll keep taking your post with a grain of salt... You say you'd like to remain a ghost, and of the big block you boast? I guess you expect us all to say hooray, okay my friend whatever you say...

That may be just around the corner LOL.... Time, place to get it done, etc has slowed or killed a lot of projects.

Perhaps it's time to order a blue print 408, eddy heads, Strange Dana, have the car built and done in 10 days and 10k later.....

  • 3000 strange dana with disc
  • 2500 408 blue print short block
  • 1500 eddy heads
  • 850 ultimate converter
  • 1200 nice 904 build
Total 9500.00

Now, I sit back and wait for packages :)

Pull it backwards. I know a guy that pulled his Duster backwards with a dolly every weekend.

How far and how fast?
Any distance 55 mph.
  • Also, Dartfreak, it's hard on automatic transmissions to pull them down the road in neutral, rear tires on the ground for a length of distance.
