No... But about a 4500 stall converter would go good with it. Damn thing literally shifts out of 1st gear in like 10 feet. I won't lie, 8 mpg out of an almost stock 318 does get old quick.

Nice car. I bought mine in 99, drove it for a year or so. Swapped motor/trans, and rear for the ones out of my demon... Ended up selling the dart back to the guy I bought it from. He was scared to drive it, so I ended up getting it back. I had bought a charger in the meantime. Well while it was parked, transmission developed a leak... And the starter went out on the charger. So I just decided to pull both motors and put the motor/trans out of the charger in the dart... Lol...

I've had a dual snorkel air cleaner in the back of that car for 20 years.. I couldn't tell you where it came from, but looking around, them things are gold mines... People want $100-$200 for them. I gave $200 for the dart, I bought the demon, that the only thing left is the 8 3/4 and the hood scoop. But I only gave $40 for it. How times change.

You don't have to apologize for anything. So you don't drag race big deal you have a lot of fun with your son and his car that's great. Just because JPar wants to be a butthead at times is no reason for you too not post. We pretty much accept him as is he has a good heart but sometimes he gets carried away.
I say as long as that son of yours wants to go cruising with his old man go for it.

Yeah, I will leave it that way until my baby girl gets big enough to take over. Then it will probably be panther pink or some crap... Lol, she would probably leave it black and rock it. She is a little Tom boy...

Apologize for what? I didn't even know I got carried away LOL. say what you feel like saying just as if I was here in front of you and I talked that same way into my voice command. I'm sure I was being a smart-*** and that's what you'd probably get in person but I certainly didn't call you any names I'm pretty sure of that. At least once I wouldn't get punched in the eye for! LOL I was just got called all kinds of names on some other thread by some guy in Illinois or Ohio. I think that's pretty chickenshit to call somebody a name from that far away. All because I was being a smart-***. one thing for sure you don't have to guess what I'm thinking...

Ok, well since I am not hijacking the thread... Here's the story. Basically I had a bad night, put the car in a ditch. K-frame is kind of screwed, ripped lower control arm out. Well the engine is low mileage, runs great. My dad came across a lil red truck cheap... He is old, not really in any shape to be working on it, I have been telling him for the last 2 years to bring it down and I will put an engine in and get it running. Well doc told him he needs heart stints, which he said no. Well my mom had to go in for in for a triple bypass, so he is starting to see the light... He agreed to take my 318, which I have a 727 trans. Get him up and running. While in that, I can swap my k-frame and get everything to get my car back together... Win win situation. I hope. Seems like the more I look, the more I find wrong with my car. But I won't quit, its all fixable, and I seem to have some good friends, and all the information I need right here. I want to give a BIG THANK YOU to 318willrun, Jadaharabi, and Dartfreak75... I hope I got that right. You guys are the best.

I bet you are the only one who can get their head far enough up their own *** to see what you had for breakfast... But I guess if you can do that, I am sure you can toot your own horn...
 
I'm just here to keep this thread having some validity. if it wasn't for me it would be all 318 has valves that will fly telling stories about how fast is friend Chevys are.. we're having to make up stories about throwing rod bearings how to make conversation.. at least jabs building a real race car..

Yep. A racecar... 318 isn't, he builds street cars. It will be interesting to see this play out. But still a big difference between race and street..
