It's getting close to season now. I could fire up tonight and make a pass. It wouldn't be my goal run, but I could run.....
this week is the big Portland Swap Meet and I have a booth at the end of the straight away so I know there won't be any racing except for me racing around looking for cool parts. hopefully not spending all my money and actually making some for more parts LOL the second race of the season is at Woodburn this weekend but even that isn't likely because it's probably going to rain. I'll probably take some passes here within the next month or so weather permitting but like last time I'm not trying to get all nuts on street tires and crash my car into a wall or something..

Aren't you normally in bed right now???

Yes, but my wife was walking my dog this afternoon when I was getting that shot in my eye today and it got attacked by another dog an we are up waiting for the surgery doctor to call and give us an outcome..

Hey mister jcarwontstart... I have a question about the transgo are they only reverse shift, or forward?
I'm not sure about the reverse but mine was just regular forward shift. I built it for my wife to race but she had foot surgery and wasn't interested anyways. I used a quicksilver ratchet shifter but when you start off you have to ratchet back into first gear.

And also I'm talking about the stage 3 full manual shift kit.
So they are forward, full manual... Nice, that is what I am looking for. I have one of them weird click to downshift B&m shifter, but just push forward for each gear up... Pertty easy to put in?

I thought it was pretty easy to put the shift kit in. It's just taking your time and following the instructions carefully maybe reading them a couple times. Like we would do and construction measure twice and cut once.

I like the transgo shift kit. you can make the stage 3 go back to the stage 2 if you get tired of shifting. I think you just got to go back in there and remove a plate and put in a couple things that you took out.

I put it in, I don't want to go back... Lol... I like control!

Sounds like a 4-speed would suit you better..
Glad to hear your dog is going to make it, and sorry about your eyeball...
Thank you the eyeball things been going on since last July and actually it's so much better and quite a miracle in my eye.. LOL excuse the pun..
We're happy about the dog and can hardly wait to get her back tomorrow. **** happens, that's why I like the car forum you can get away from it for a minute..

With my Hurst you can down shift all day it ratchets forward. So stopping at a red light I can pull straight back into 2nd or 1st then on take of slam it as hard as I want and it want miss a gear until I ratchet again. But down shifting just pull back
And it has a neutral lock of course.

I go and watch a couple of hours of Stargate Atlantis and you guys get all Goofy. What's with that? Never mined don't answer that. Be nice or go sit in a chevy.
But I did spend a couple hours on the phone with 318needsnewbearings also.

Don't be getting on ol 318polishinghiscrank... We all try on the off days... He just better than us!

Not sure what you want me to say here? My apologies? I don't drag race, so should I stop making comments ...go back to just reading the threads ??

Don't worry about about jpar.. he is pretty much harmless. I mean a a 408 stroker and ol 318 about to pass him with a 318... He all good, but he can be you know an idk... I can't say, I am called names daily .. oh **** he's an ***... Like me.

Just be careful you don't rake it down into the first well you're going too fast or you'll lock the back tires LOL that's why I kind of liked my Quicksilver you had to click it up I'm down for every year no matter. It was a little pain when you start off and have to click it a couple of times to get it into low but you couldn't accidentally click it into low while you're going fast in 3rd...

Hey now, we gots eyeballs and uh yeah dogs, hey jurassicpar, what you got for a dog?
The eyeball is an ongoing thing every couple months I get a shot in my left eyeball and for an hour or two afterwards it feels like there's a small Rock inside my eyelid. Then it's just a little sore for a couple days.
my dog is a whippet(I have the fastest dog also) and she's reported to be doing good last night before we went to bed. We should be able to pick her up late morning early afternoon today..

probably the only dog bred to be man's companion. She's extremely gentle very fast lots of fun. while that wiener dog would probably take your hands off trying to give it a treat ( wife's), my dog would nibble at a potato chip down to your fingers and then start licking...

All good here, I obviously hit a sore spot , lesson learned. Jpar totally reminds me of my older brother...and I know I've been called a few things over the years; *** being one of the nicer terms.
