Just be careful you don't rake it down into the first well you're going too fast or you'll lock the back tires LOL that's why I kind of liked my Quicksilver you had to click it up I'm down for every year no matter. It was a little pain when you start off and have to click it a couple of times to get it into low but you couldn't accidentally click it into low while you're going fast in 3rd...
Yea I was thinking that too. Just curious in a putting around town scenario would it pull out in third if you left it in drive or just burn the bands up in the transmission like pulling out in 4th in a manual?

The eyeball is an ongoing thing every couple months I get a shot in my left eyeball and for an hour or two afterwards it feels like there's a small Rock inside my eyelid. Then it's just a little sore for a couple days.
my dog is a whippet(I have the fastest dog also) and she's reported to be doing good last night before we went to bed. We should be able to pick her up late morning early afternoon today..
View attachment 1715313498 probably the only dog bred to be man's companion. She's extremely gentle very fast lots of fun. while that wiener dog would probably take your hands off trying to give it a treat ( wife's), my dog would nibble at a potato chip down to your fingers and then start licking...
You never did answer me. What did you do to your eye to get the shots??

All good here, I obviously hit a sore spot , lesson learned. Jpar totally reminds me of my older brother...and I know I've been called a few things over the years; *** being one of the nicer terms.
One of my very very good friends always says I remind him of his cousin... Guess why... But he also knows if he called and needed me all he'ed hear is the phone drop and tires squealing in the background...

on July 3rd I woke up and couldn't see very well out of my left eye and thought it was just an anomaly. throughout the day I was tripping on it but so busy it didn't affect what I was doing much. And the next day was 4th of July and I was not going to the emergency room with all the sparkler burn victims. Then on July 5th I got up and called the eye doctor right away and went in early that morning. He said I had some kind of mini stroke in my eye or the fluid would go in but wouldn't come out. He was making me move my face up and down and stuff to make sure I didn't have a full-blown stroke. Anyways there's no correcting with glasses it's fluid in the back of my lens that's distorting my vision. But I got sent to the specialist that gives me a shot in my eye every month and now it's gone to every two months and I'm about 85% better in my left eye. When I was at its worst I couldn't even put one bead of RTV on top of the other on the China wall because it took away my depth perception. When I go to the doctor to get the shot I'm like in there with people that look like my great-grandparents LOL I'm like the young guy LOL but I'm old...

Certainly nothing I used as an excuse not to show up at the track for yellow rose in August last year.

The black and white dog is so ugly It's hard to believe.
Talk about fast we use to have Saluki's. Unbelievable how fast they are. Makes other breeds look like they are in slow motion when they are playing .
Salukis, Dalmations, Manx cats, Dwarf rabbits and Arabian horses have all shared time in my wife and my lives. Talk about a bunch of differant personalitys.

EA plates. Expanded Antique. Means from April through October I have unlimited use, like normal plates. Nov - March it can be driven, but only for service or shows. Also, it allows me to put any "date-correct" plate I want on there from any state. I have the Illinois centennial plates '76. I haven't put them on yet, but I will this year.

renewed the plates on the '76 Duster today..... 51 bucks.
got new tags for the duster yesterday morning and that was a hundred and fifty bucks for two years. They died at the end of January and usually it's a $25 after one month and $50 after that extra fee, but since it's DEQ exempt I don't think they enforce that extra fee.. next is renewing the Hagerty Insurance here by the 20th..

yeah I'm going to take off here in just a few minutes to go visit her. she can't come out of the emergency hospital quite yet but I haven't seen her in a day now so can I go to drive downtown and see her..
I've got the shirt that I slept in last night that I'm going to put in her kennel with her and my wife made some white rice and chicken. I'll take that to her to get her to eat something..

Good lord your guys tags are high, $25 for 10 years here on antique tags.

Oh wow that is really scary. Eye sight is one of those things that really scares me. I wear contacts and without them I can't see anything can't do anything. I couldn't imagine having to try and live like that all the time. I'm a stickler for ppe especially safety glasses I always wear them. When I was a teenager I used to mow all the neighbors yards for money (before I was 16 and started working) and got a piece of metal in my eye from weed eating. It was horrible and terribly painful. And I missed the most of baseball season recovering.

Ha Ha HA That is all. :wtf: has happened to 318's race thread

Yeah I was off to see my grandson and son with in a month or two of it happening. It was freaking me out, but now everything is ok...

After voting today and going out to eat I spent the rest of the day trying to get an old truck dana 60 apart.
How did that go you say.
The pinion came loose after a hour or so of looking for the socket.
Then an hour to get the first axle out. Then another hour to cut off the end of the axle with a chop saw.
Then another hour trying unsuccessfully to get the second axle out.
I messed with that beast untill 8 pm then called it quits for the evening.
What I found interesting is the tubes are not the 1/2 thick ones you usually see they are 1/4 or 3/8 thick with 3 inch od and it has a 30 spline carrier with 12 x 2 brakes. It must be about a 1968 ford axle.

That sounds good, never take anything for granted, my grandpa slowly went blind, he told me he was driving home from work, came over a hill and the sun was extra bright that day.
He had not had his eyesight grime that day on.
I remember him and I used to ride the city bus into town when I was a little kid, he would tell everyone I was his eyes, he got around pretty good, as long as I was holding his hand.
