My neighbors are all scared of me so I doubt i'd ever have a problem.
They are all a bunch of gun hatten weenies and they go out of their way to make sure I know they are being nice to me. Kinda weird but cool at the same time.

Dude, I would be open headers every nite just before supper. :glasses7:

- Just teasing the neighbors with what's to come, huh. You need a little pavement on that driveway so you can burn off those tire stickers.

Pavement or black top costs money and would cut into build money. Besides, I'd rather burn holes in tax payed roads than my own. L.O.L!!!!

Crap!!!!
Looks like i'm gonna have to drain the trans and drop the valve body out and go thru it again.
For some reason it acts like it is stuck in third gear. Reverse works fine but when I drop it in first I get the same as if it were in third from the start. It almost acts like the e-brake is pulled out all the way and bogg's down the engine and it won't go anyfaster than about 15-20 MPH with the peddel mashed down to the floor. It won't even come up in RPM"S.
On another note, does anyone have a spare automatic floor shift back up light switch?

dagnabit!

You can say that again...
I don't know if the accumulator has a problem or if I screwed something up when I modified the valve body. I followed the manual to a T but just in case I'll have a friend of mine go thru it to find out. Thankfully he can build one of these in his sleep. Lets hope he gets some good sleep. I have to wait a week or two before that all can happen. I guess that's ok because apparently I won't be going anywhere. at least not fast anyways.

Timing is everything.
I can't decide if I want to wait another week for my brother to help with the exhaust design and wait to remove the valve body on the 727 another three weeks or tear into it and possibly have to wait another month for the exhaust. Dam!!! I want it all done NOW!!!!!

Truth be told, the reason I put the pair of Purple Hornies on my 'Cuda was to get it up and running asap. I always have had the intention of redoing the exhaust but kept putting it off.

I don't think I could get away with a couple purple hornies. I don't swing that way. L.O.L!!!!

I ignored the warnings from others about how loud they were figuring that I'd like to enjoy hearing the rumble but those things are almost the same as no mufflers. On the bright side, they did allow me to get it out on the street right away. I honestly wouldn't recommend them to anyone for anything other than temporary use.

I'll get my exhaust done in a few weeks. I'm going to wait on the install untill after I get my transmission figured out. :protest::protest::protest:

Today after work I began the process of removing the valve body from the trans. while the car is on jack stands. What a pain!!! I wished the car was at my brothers shop so I could use the lift. Here are a couple pictures. One in perticular is of the filter. I found a couple aluminum flakes on it. Is this going to be a problem? No where else was there any found.

The two small bits of aluminum may have friends. Were there any in the fluid? If everything was fresh and assembled/adjusted properly I'd give that valve body a really close inspection to see if the valves all shift back & forth the way they should. Maybe there's another piece lodged inside. The filter should keep any from getting in so (if there) it would probably have had to have been contaminated during assembly.

When we rebuilt the 727 TF, we bench tested it with compressed air and got the 1-2 shift and the 2-3 shift to work properly, so I am not sure what the heck is going on.
Anyways, here are a few pictures of the modified accumulator and the aluminum tube we used in place of the spring and piston. Maybe that's the issue? Did I do it wrong?
I used a 2 7/8" aluminum tube as instructed.
Also, I was thinking that the aluminum flakes could have come from the aluminum tube inside the accumulator.
WHAT A MESS!!!
And yes, I did find more flakes in the pan.. :protest::protest::protest::protest::protest:

I'm waiting on parts, seals and gaskets for the trans, so in the mean time I want to get started on installing the door glass. Does anyone have any good documentation on how to re-assemble them and re-install? I forgot to take notes and pictures when disassembling them a few years back....

You mean all these 67 Barracudas and no one has anything to say about installing the door glass?
Dam, Maybe I should try a ford web site.... Same amount of luck.

Haven't got that far yet. I don't remember either. And I didn't take any pics of that process either. :banghead:

I was going to install electric windows and I changed my mind, so now I pay the price for not taking any pictures. I guess I'll be enjoying a puzzle and pray I don't ding up the paint in the process of installing and removing a dozen or more times. SUCKS! No one posted anything of worth on that particular forum or in tech. help. Maybe I'll document what I learned and post something for everyone else that will be going thru this.
Thanks Snkebit for your input. I appreciate it.
