Thanks means alot coming from one who knows, all the work you did to your awesome ride. Been a little on the slow side lately but hopefully this year will be done and running tearing up the streets and track like you are with yours.

Pistons are on there way to the machine shop, so as soon as they get them they will do the final hone and then I get to go get my block. Got to work on the car a bit today, installed the new hood locking latches alot with the stock one, just so when I take it out dont have to worry about any one messing with the engine.

And got to install this today with some home made brackets. Braced in the middle and the putter edges. The middle bolted to the hood latch support bracket, the putter ones off the lower fender braces and rivited to the chin spoiler. It's the ranger one someone posted in the body section.

Got to work a bit more on the car, getting things more ready, got the computer mounted on some rubber isolators under the passenger seat, and the relays, fuses all mounted under the dash. Just going to space the seat mounts up about a 1/2" to make more room for the harness. Also sent out the intake to be ported as well to Michael at b3racing who also is finishing up on my heads. Also got my turn signal, reverse light and license plate light gaskets from Detroit muscle technologies , only company I have come across to have these gaskets. They have alot of gaskets, highly recommend.

Thank you, yeah it's been a slow head way but it's getting there, block should be done here soon will pick it up wheb they say along with my pistons, will order the crank and rods this week, once thats all in have to order bearings still and lifters and push rods, but the list is getting smaller and closer to getting this car fired up and running.

Well after my dentist appointment, I decided to take a trip up and pick up my block from the machine shop, roller bearings came in yesterday and they installed them so I can come get it today. Its been a while but had a few small issues with it but was covered in past posts. Also got my race tech custom pistons, compstar h beam rods and bloomers forged crank. Big thanks to Mike at QMP for the machine work , their shop is amazing, and Rod Bloomer for hooking up the rotating assembly, should be getting the cam here soon, Shane rocked it on that one.

cool, nice step forward.

Is the Ritter Block already set up for roller bearings or can you choose to use stock bearings?

Michael

I'm pretty sure you can go with a standard bearing if you choose, think it's undersized so you can make it what ever you want, I just went roller to help this just have free movement and rev alot quicker. Only thing for sure is to bush the lifters, I went a little bigger on mine, just to make sure you have oil flow to all lifters.

Mines a 4.125 bore with a 4" stroke, 50mm cam, .937 lifter bore, 9.6 deck, 9.0:1 comp.

That block looks amazing! What did the BPE assembly cost if you don't mind me asking? I've been kicking around doing a 408 for my turbo and I've read that Bloomer has excellent options/pricing.
And what do you expect your final compression to be?
Awesome build man. Can't wait to see your numbers!

Thanks, well the pistons were set up for the 9.6 deck and the 58cc chambers to make the 9:1, think with a .036 or maybe just a tad thicker bring it down to 8.5:1, the deck is zero and the heads are getting surfaced too to being them back to the correct 58 cc. But should be right at 8.5.

Yeah just going to say it's a 426 just to mess with people :)

say what you want, my uncle bought a 67 dart with the 428 hemi in it when he came back from 'nam
used the COPO to get it with the sixpack

That's how my dad bought his 70 cuda with the 440 six barrel shaker when he was in Nam. Well people can guess hemi or max wedge and pop the hood and they see a small block, just be fun. Not sure what your meaning is? I know hemi's came in or were put in these cars for super stock reason. 428 hemi??

no real meaning, i was just poking fun at that type of person you see on carshows, that claim their uncles had one, just like it, only with some impossible combination, factory from the showroom

Well nust ordered this adaptor on the right of the picture, since these block have the spot for a dip stick but my machine shop didn't feel comfortable drilling it due to the angle and they can do anything. So this is a good alternative who get these blocks, and run a lokar universal or have a custom one made to match the milodon 8qt pan I will have on there, not sure where to put it though will put it all together and see where the best placement would be.

This just came in the mail today, full sfi approved and a fraction of the cost of a b&m and works for small and big block. It's from 440 source. Used it on my other 72 satellite with a 440, its neutral balanced.

Forgot to show some pictures of the head work Michael has done. Had to upgrade a few things as well for my set up.
