Damn nice job! I’ve kind of been lax here for the last couple years, wish I had caught your thread early on, it may have helped inspire me. I started my 68 technically in 13, but in earnest in 14. I also moved mid process. I am still going forward, but slower than I hoped, & here you are- done.
Granted, this was the 1st time I’ve done this, & had only basic hand tools when I started. I told myself it was not going to be a project that got started then left, like so many I’ve seen.
Mines out of paint, I’m fiddling with interior, wiring, gas tank/ lines & all that stuff now. I planned engine, but had someone else build it as it isn’t stock, & I have none of those tools or skills, & I want to drive it sometime soon (and have it stay together).
I will be going back through your thread for ideas, inspiration, & maybe pointers.
Congratulations, thanks, good luck, and ENJOY, you earned it!
Countach, without digging into the thread I assume you mean making a pass with the hood latch and no pins? I’ll make sure i know what you mean before I blah blah blah.I just read through your thread, what an awesome build and a great job so kudos to you! I have an AAR hood with six-pack scoop for my '69 Barracuda on the way and am going to do struts as well. If I only take it to the strip occasionally and it will mostly be street driven, do you think I need pins as well? I really don't want them if I don't have to have them.
Haha. Sometimes a guy needs to take a break. I’d imagine that it’s probably a good thing when a guy can do that. You’ll be back at it soon enough. After reading this thread for a second time I really need to just get off of my *** and do a little here and there, eventually I'll be somewhat like Mallex, honestly you might just be my a-body hero!!!!
Best restoration/tribute car I've seenForgot all about this car! Absolutely beautiful. I may have to use a few tips and tricks here as I should have a 68 here soon. The hoist / rotisserie may be the first!
Awesome work as always.
Thanks very much. Yep it’s a PDN car.Best restoration/tribute car I've seen
Id use it for you gladly lolThanks very much. Yep it’s a PDN car.
I actually put it in a display for my local race track at a recent car show.
Only problem with the Dart is that I don’t use it, summer months are busy with racing the old Plymouth.

I fab’d up a billet fuel gauge bracket a while back. Fuel line and light wire in view wasn’t cutting it. This works.

We all knew that was never going to happenNot the worse problem to have by a longshot and I wouldn't loose any sleep over it, doesn't look like it eats too much. I'm finding the price to duplicate what we built a few years back has increased considerably. Build back better my ***.
Welcome to faboNew to the site and just read through your entire thread.
Great build & inspiration.
Thanks
