75 Duster Tetnus Shot and band aids

Will A/C parts from a /6 work on a 318 My parts car has the A/C compressor the lines and Condenser. The stuff will have to be rebuilt Just wondering if the parts are swappable The car with the 318 used to be a slant 6
 
Haven't done much on my Duster or Coronet the past couple of weeks. I haven't been feeling all that great. Went to DR and I have a Hernia. Second one in same area. 5th one in 20 years. I kept feeling sick then I would start to feel better then feel really sick again. Got to make appointment with the Dr who fixes these things. I was moving my cars around so I could get the Green car along the side of my driveway. After I was done I started feeling ill so now I know why.
 
My son started to remove some of the wires that were hanging and jumbled together. Some of these wires were live with open ends. Did a little undercoat removal under the carpet. Found a patch repair that was screwed down and they used some sort of panel adhesive. They never bothered to seal it all the way around and just undercoated the top of it.

Divers side floor panel is wire mesh body filler and Truck spray in bedliner. It appears that the driver side is filled with this stuff

I started working on a instrument cluster out of my parts car. The pieces were broken off the bezel but still attached to the metal gauge cluster piece Luckily the screws held the pieces to the metal frame. I need to get some of those plastic sheets for the other broken parts The metal part of the cluster has corrosion Do the gauges use the metal frame as a ground? I would like to just paint the whole metal frame and not just the inside of it

Actually Florida has electronic title records. If the previous owner of the white one lived in Florida and it had a Florida tile, the 2 of you can go to the Florida DMV and they will print you out a new title right on the spot. It's like a $100 retrieval fee for them to dig it up, then like 20 bucks to print it out.

I always have them print me my title cards right on the spot. The FL DMV says if you loose that title it will cost you $100.00 for us to print you a new one.

The plate on the car had a 96 registration decal I can't even get a hold of the guy I doubt that the guy even had the title in his name

Yeah that's too bad. Did you get a bill of sale signed by both parties and dated ?

Next time you are in Florida DMV you could ask them about possibilities as an example of what a person could do in your mentioned senario ?? For Classic Cars . . They probably have that title number in their data base, and could track the previous owner through that old plate.

Always like to see these old mopars get back on the road.

Florida plates are suposed to stay with the owner, then turned into the state when the car is sold. State holds them, then you buy another car and they give the same plate back.

What I don't like is in Florida it costs you 400 bucks to get that first plate. Then there is the issue of dealer fees on top of the sale price. So be it . . .

That would be the best move, you know the oil pickup has to have that crap in it.
I took an oil pan off one time and it must have weighed 50 lbs from sludge.
 
You might still get a good builder out of It.
Or look for another engine 318’s don’t have a lot of value, but this one is rough.
 
I'm going to look for a 360/408 I have a lot of work to do to the engine compartment before I can even put an engine in it so I will find an engine this summer
 
Instead of just replacing the right front brake line at some point someone spliced a piece of tubing into the line.

Someone asked me this a while back when looking at my car. Copying my response post from about a month ago...
Did a little research...
From 75 FSM. Here are the wires going through grommets. What is really strange - in 74 book the blower and compressor switch are same as pictured here, but the oil and temp go through the bulkhead. Then in 75 they take 2 wires out of the bulkhead and through a grommet. In 76 FSM, they are all in the bulkhead connector.

Thank You Even though the car will get rewired I'm marking all the old wiring and harness where they go and what they attach to. Some connectors and wires aren't attached to anything.
 
I started removing the undercoating on the inner fenders. The right fender has a lot more damage on the inside of it from rust than previously thought. Upper inner fender wells where the fenders sit will need repair. Lower radiator support will need to be replaced. Ordered from AMD Bottom of frame rail on drivers side is ripped open just behind where the lower radiator support attaches. The pile of black stuff is the undercoating from the right side inner fender
