A-Bodies...Big Motors / New Hemi Duster - FINAL ASSEMBLY

-
Sounds like an excellent idea. Have a good and safe time in Carlisle!

I am amazed how puney my spark plug wires look compared to Dans MSD 8.5 wires.

Still gotta be black and able to utilize the factory tube hole cover.....ya know, incogneto

Thanks, Doc

That's sounds like a easy modification and upgrade but still keeping it all "Factory" looking once done.

Will my Super Slammer be done by the Nats ? It would be a convient place to pick it up. I'm gonna re-make my mounting ears this week so I'll be ready anytime.

Remember, the green 472 Hemi Duster had a Jacobs Electronics 7 mm restoration
wire set that looked stock-like but had a much greater capacity. I like those MSD's!

Dan picked up his Duster today......after a warm-up we did a final leak check, re-checked the timing...then the idle, and a last check of the fluids.....and away he goes.....off to Powell (suburb of Columbus)

In no time my old Duster was out of it's trailer (portable garage) and getting readied for Carlisle.
Think I'll throw some good wires on the Hemi and shelve the cheap / factory look-a-likes.....it sure made a diff on Dans Duster

Car ran great and nice and cool. No problems at all! Sure wish I could go to Carlisle with u crazies, That will will be a great time! Thanks again Denny @ Weeb for everything!! U guys are the best! John u are right, this thing sure does bark!!!

I can't wait to see it at the Nats!

No. That MSD stuff was put on years later by a subsequent owner.

The Jacob's 7 mm wires we installed are in the photo below:

I hope it's the area by the grandstand, the other is where trailers usually got parked. That's a good slope near the hillside over there... On a positive note, the weather is looking good!

.....must be in the front row!!!

FAB club banner arrived from Mike (2Darts)....it is a attention getter. Nice job!

So we don't know space numbers yet? That would be a good spot, infield row! Close to the action!

action????...will there be strippers??? I heard Carlisle is a good time, but I had no idea.

Well, wait 'till HemiMark is wandering around late in the day wearin' nothing but 80 SPF sunblock and that FABO banner. Paint that picture!

got home tonight thinking a nice easy night with almost everything already packed.....until I headed down my street....

big storm took out six BIG (50 foot-plusers) trees in my front yard. what a mess!
at least the mess will still be there when I get back on Sunday night. my neighbor cleared the street with his chain saw before I got home so all I had to do tonight is brush clean up.

nobody hurt and nothing hit the house.....thank you Jesus!

Brother John got me up to speed on the storm you had over there! HOly snikie!

Have a fun time in Carlisle, glad the homestead is safe and sound. That was a pretty nasty storm that rolled thru...hope you've been enjoying the pics I've been emailing ya. Feel free to tell Mark whats going on, we all know how he hates to be left out of the loop.
