1)...budget build
2)...I had never fully installed a big block with the Schumaker Mounts and wanted first hand knowledge of the goods and bads.....and who better to get the experience from? Big D

It is one thing to place the motor.....another to complete all the externals.
 
Less than two weeks until our arrival (Thursday?) in Pittsburg to
rendevous with HemiMark and 62BT409 for Carlisle. Can't wait!

I can be in Pitts whenever you guys want to leave....ideally, for Weeb and I...be there Thursday AM. I thought HemiMark had business till then.

I'm off all week and can leave whenever necessary. Talked
to Weeb this a.m. and he was going to try and arrange it
so he is off after Wednesday.
 
so leave Thursday AM....like 5 or 6 AM from Findlay to Pittsburg?

Well, I had thought you guys were coming Wed night and then we all leave early Thursday. I wouldn't mind being there early Thursday myself. I'll talk to Mark on Sunday, they are at a wedding today. Jim changes phone numbers like I change socks! I had three numbers and none were good...

A conference call Sunday afternoon sometime will straighten this out!
 
Pittsburg is iike 4-4.5 hour from Carlisle?....so I was thinking if we full out of Pittsburg (maybe meet on the outerbelt/Turnpike somewhere) before noon...we will be good?

or do you want us to be at the rendezvous point earlier....maybe around 8AM?

Remember, our reserved hotel rooms in Carlisle are for Friday &
Saturday only unless you need
to go early for your swap meet stuff and try to get a room for
Thursday night somewhere.

What time will we be in Pittsburg if we leave Findlay at 6:00 am Thursday?

We need to get a reservation for a place to sleep in Pittsburg - We can
leave the rig at HemiMark's.
 
Okay, the room situation may be an issue. I am not vending this year and you guys will be stuck with me the whole event!
If you leave Findlay at 6:00, should be just after 10:00 arrival time. Then its three hours from here to Carlisle.
I'll talk to Mark later today, and we'll figure this out by EOD.
 
I thought we were staying in Pittsburg (visiting) on Thursday.
If I knew you guys wanted to be in Carlisle Thursday, I would
have reserved the rooms for 3 nights. We can work with it and
will enjoy your uninterupted (no swap meet) company all weekend.

Any big cruises there Thursday night? Norwin? The Hills?
 
Carlisle starts on Thursday......see if you can get the rooms for Thurs night
 
Okay, talked to Mark. He is off work Wednesday. He was under the assumption you guys were coming Wed, staying over, then leave Thursday A.M. for the show.
 
I kind of wish I had committed to going now...Oh well, theres always the nats or next year carlisle......sounds like it will be a hoot.

Ross, you better go. I gave up the 4th room but if I can't get it back,
we can find a spot for you. We could punish you and make you stay with
Denny and Mark.
 
Dan picked up his Duster today......after a warm-up we did a final leak check, re-checked the timing...then the idle, and a last check of the fluids.....and away he goes.....off to Powell (suburb of Columbus)

In no time my old Duster was out of it's trailer (portable garage) and getting readied for Carlisle.
Think I'll throw some good wires on the Hemi and shelve the cheap / factory look-a-likes.....it sure made a diff on Dans Duster
