Thank you - wonder how much Mopar unbushed W2 econos could take ?
A lot.
650 Mechanical Roller ?
Harland Sharp stands and shafts came in today and was just messing around and threw some nos Econo W2 (.775 ) offset on and was really surprised at how good they fit etc650 Mechanical Roller ?
WOW - That said it all !!!Bushed ductile iron W2 rockers. .754 gross lift (.734 net) and 8500 RPM. Never had a rocker fail. Broke a bunch of junk *** Crane lifters that killed the rockers, but the rockers never failed.
WOW - That said it all !!!
I wonder if I wanted to use these should I just send them off and be bushed ?
Yes. Send them in to get bushed and have the ratio corrected. You can even get them converted to a 1.6 ratio. I used what used to be called Rocker Arm Specialists, but that name changed and I can never remember what the new name is.
Thank u SirSame company. Guy's name is Gary. Super cool and a legend genius.
Yep. Just had a set done up by Gary. Very nice man. They came out great. Only thing I didn’t do was have the ratios all corrected. We talked about what I was doing, they’d be fine for street/mild strip. It’s not a max effort race engine so he agreed the added expense wasn’t worth it.
Cant say that I've ever seen a rocker shaft machined almost in half before....interesting

Those shafts are pretty thick and I'd bet with properly dimensioned blocks, there is no flex or movement. That gap will be supported.Cant say that I've ever seen a rocker shaft machined almost in half before....interesting

My understanding is that the blocks on race heads are offset to center the wipe from the rockers. Much like the shim kit that B3 makes, the blocks are adjusted to position the shaft on the Race W2. Econo heads would need the shims in the saddles and the holes still have to be bored off center in the shaft to accommodate the bolts.I don't disagree, but WHAT'S the purpose? That's what I was wonderin.
