Here is a Dart I had quite a few years ago. 318 factory AC. Had about 40k miles. Put cop car wheels, dog dish, dual exhaust. It was a nice cruiser. They cost as much to work on as a 2 door. But don’t except to get the best return on your investment.

My favorite 4 door. Darn deer took this one out.
Basically it costs just as much to restore a hemi or 6 pac car as a slant car, Not much difference except the cost of the initial project car!!!

Not many, there was a sweet 68 val 4 dr someone junked.... took what I could off it.
There was a CHERRY 1972 DART..that oldmanmopar cut up for parts. I seriously have not seen a car that clean, original, in a really long time...

Got it a couple of weeks ago. Runs great and has good bones.
Winter project, but I'm starting now.
Love this old bomb!

Here's the '61 Valiant V200 sedan I carried home from Omaha this summer. No enhancements yet other than popping a couple original dog dishes on, and re-installing the shift buttons in the dash. Having a lot of fun freeing up each rusted and stuck part after 30 years of sitting. So far its the hood hinges, engine, and carburetor throttle body to get it running, next comes idle screw and brakes...

Help from family members is always fun. When I was stripping my Barracuda's paint in about 2013, my wife said, "That looks like fun. Can I help?" We worked on it day after day. She even learned how to use some new power tools.
Today I installed new kick panels in interior front. Some one had installed an underdash Panasonic stereo and speakers in the kick panals. Tore it all out and threw into the trash. This car was radio delete and plan on keeping it that way.
My plan is to get her mechanical sound and use her as a cool driver.
The engine runs strong and has a rebuilt (maybe) automatic that shifts fine. purchased new Monroe shocks but my trusted mechanic said the o0nes in it looked new and seemed fine. So I returned them.
Here's some projects for the future-
Need to hunt up another rear bumper.
Front windshield is starting to delaminate.
Speedometer is dead. This looks like a very long job.
I have detected no rust thru, just simple surface on the exterior that I have been treating.
Oregun winters are nothing to write home about, but this car will keep me busy with stuff I love to do.
The car came with a couple of boxes of parts. some are OK, but far from pristine. A couple a tail lights, grill, directional and a bunch of small doodads.
The Lancer's name is Virgil.
My plan is to get her mechanical sound and use her as a cool driver.

Cool, All the cars we did over the years are radio delete.Even the ones that weren't. Who needs a radio when you have a smooth running engine purring under the hood ?
I agree! The sound of a good running any old engine is music!
To take it further, vast majority of my old Mopars came with NO AC. But IF I do have a project with AC sitting there ( usually not working anyway), I pull it and save it for the next guy, if he wants it. Yea it gets hot here in jTx but I HATE CLUTTER! and if its too hot to drive an old classic without AC, I can take a modern vehicle.
Yea, I know id a potential buyer can never talk on the phone and only text, he will never buy an old car/project without AC. Now days, that same type wants a perfect running,driving old car for pennies on the dollar!
Virgil is parked in a position where I can not get good pics.
I will post the pics sometime next week after I can move him.

I came across a good deal on four wheels.
OK tires and 4 nice spinner hubcaps off a '65 dodge Coronet.
They are 15" with correct 4.5" 5 lug wheels.
Do you guys see any problem with mounting them on my "61 Lancer?

The 61 Lancer has a 4'' bolt pattern with 7/16 studs.
All will have to be changed over for those to work. It can be done with time searching for parts and some money.

Although not A-bodies, I have two four door Mopars, both former police cars:
1979 Chrysler Newport with E58 360/727/9-1/4 3.21 SG:
The Newport is and original A38 package car with about 265,000 miles. I purchased it at a police auction in 1990. It has its original drivetrain, but I have rebuilt the engine and transmission. It's essentially stock with no exhaust converters and some improvements to its police suspension including Direct Connection front subframe iron mounts. The original Electronic Spark Advance system and Thermo-Quad was replaced with a Mopar Performance kit in 1990 and a simpler Thermo-Quad.
1977 Plymouth Fury with 400HP/727/9-1/4 3.21 SG:
The Fury is undergoing bodywork now for a repaint in black&white with NOS bumpers, grille, mirrors, etc. I've had it since 1986. The car is an original A38 (RK41) police package car with 380,000 miles on the original un-rebuilt engine. I did rebuild the transmission in the 90s. Both will get a refresh soon. It's essentially stock with dual exhaust and no exhaust converters and also some improvements to its police suspension including Direct Connection front subframe iron mounts, plus 1978 slotted police wheels replacing its original un-slotted wheels. The original Electronic Lean Burn system was replaced with a Direct Connection distributor with a stock blue ECU and the original Thermo-Quad was modified with added vacuum advance, then later replaced with a different Therm-Quad.

I ordered 4 adaptors- 5 lug 4" to to 5 lug 4.5"
The tires are 195/65 radials.
I plan on installing when the adaptors arrive.,
Can think of any other problems I might encounter ?

Possible the tire may rub. Can't say. Guess you will just have to try 'um.
