I would love to but I do not know who would break down first, Me or the car.
If I decide to go, it will be at the last minute
 
I remember driving to Phoenix from San Antonio thru Tucson in 87.
VW Scriocco w a Uhaul trailer in tow.

posted 1 day later...... I will not make it to the Mixtea tonite. Found a glitch in the lighting wiring and not enough time to finish it tonite. May be I should drive my other car over and be like the ones that show their non-classic cars

I think I'll take the ol Valiant to Mixteca tonight. I'm tired from walking auctions LOL. Oh the Leake Auction was very good!

I took a Saturday for car shows in the valley and that one was the first on the list since I was coming down from Prescott.
The place was closed and everyone who showed wondered what the heck.
No huge loss since the Pavilions was next and then 67th and Bell after that.

Looks like today I'll be swapping my peg leg 2:73 geared 7.25 for the disc brake 3:55 geared Sure Grip 8.25
Weather is finally warm enough this week to feel like doing it.

I took it for a test drive yesterday morning, but I only have one inch of shaft clearance before it bottoms on the trans so I didn't want to get on it until I can be sure it has the clearance for when the pinion twists up.
I also clamped the front of the leafs.

Taking the shaft in this morning to get it shortened an inch so when the pinion twists up I should have about 1.5 inches clear of the yoke bottoming.
The rear was nice quiet and smooth and the disc brakes stop better than the drums and gave me a bit higher pedal.
So far everything is looking real good.
 
I guess I have not been healthy enough to go to 67th and Bell for a long time. I did not know that they removed about 10 lanes of parking. So when I got there, I just drove down an aisle once and drove home.
Need to find somewhere else to take the car from now on

They had a fund raiser Saturday so it filled up
 
Anyone going to the H.E.M.I show in March 7th at Metrocenter? There is also a pre 72 show coming up on 3/27-3/28 at a spot called

Wednesday night at Westgate in the over flow lot two guys in a car were backing into a space when a car pulled in behind them. The passenger Tyler got out to see why they were blocking the spot when they shot him 4 times and sped away. Some say there was a road rage incident up the road and they followed them in.
