Was just talking to current owner and making sure we can drive back without a "Hitch"!
(Punny Huh?!) LOL

Anyway I hope to go up in the Aspen wagon and just drive it back without using FOTO.
FOTO's pivot bearing is not doing well and I shudder to think of it and the Dart needing towed home on a Holiday weekend.
Wish I could afford to send someone up there to haul it home for me but would rather drive it home on it's own 4 wheels.

I'm totally stoked to be bringing her back home where she belongs.
This will be the second Dart we brought (bought) back home.
Our son is still driving the light blue 69 (Clara) everyday and loving it.
Once here, I'll be able to take off the studded snow tires off my beloved 64 and only use it for shows again!

Sometimes things in life just aren't worth all the troubles of getting it home.
Especially when life is kicking my *** on a daily basis.
Good car, just bad times.
I'm even losing $150 in interest on the car loan check I'm taking back to the bank.
I had the check for less than a week and giving it back to the bank and they still want all the interest of the loan paid when I bring their check back!
Just another kick me in the teeth chapter of my life.
Again sorry.....

Man, sounds like the bank sucks! Also sorry about not getting it back. Seems like we are still in bad times like you mentioned. (maybe it's just you and me though!) I can't seem to get ahead these days. Sold a new set og Hooker headers for $655.00 and was going to reinvest that money in another set of headers I need for another project and seemed to have spent that money and my measley tax return on just catching up on bills. However, I'm glad I got the tax return and didn't have to pay!!!!

I'm BLESSED though, have a job, house, cars, my health and a new granddaughter!!

Better times ahead!!!!

Man that was so cool!!
Couldn't make the 2 hour trip to get Fern.
Many different reasons including a car hauler with a bad pinion bearing.
So Dr. Dart, the current owner of Fern drove her and delivered her to us to us!! Man, that was sooo cool Dr. Dart. THANK YOU!!!!!!!
So Fern is back home after all.
Funny thing is that when we first purchased her years ago the current owner back then drover her to us when we bought her without test driving her. Now Dr. Dart was nice enough to deliver her this time with no test drive again! Just showed up in our driveway on Memorial Day at 10AM, we paid for her, and she was ours again.
Thanks again Dr. Dart!
So glad to have her back with us, we really missed her since selling her back in 2011. She has 700 more miles and a lot of new parts on her too. All new front end parts 4 new shocks, new brakes, muffler, distributor, regulator, fuel pump, radiator, wires, plugs, hose, and belts too. Yesterday I topped oil and coolant off and greased all the new front end pieces, then took her for a drive!
She has a bad front end rattle noise when she hits bumps, but has all new front end. Does anyone have any ideas on what the rattling noise might be?
Well sorry we didn't get to go on a trip together but very glad Fern is back home again.:cheers:

i have no idea where you are all finding the 4 doors.....i could not find a 4 door dart even when i was looking for one. They are under-appriciated and mega cool.

I took a quick glance at them when I was doing the front end lube.
Didn't see the new brake hardware kit on there.
Should be some fresh black rubber bands on them I think.
I'm also thinking it might be something else but won't get to look until this coming Monday.

Seems like 4 doors are the only ones that find me and two of them have found me a second time and come back home!
Still expecting Lump to come home some day for a Holiday visit!
