I tried that once, it did not work.

that's the way i always do it, works well for me.
So today is slurpee day! Someone was mad for a second, then she got happy and super comfortable, then she got upset again (because I wouldn't buy her gum). So... I guess you could say she changes moods as fast as every other woman on earth... 
I added 1 at of tranny fluid to the car because it was reading a little low while warm and in neutral. Then messed with my 727; I need to figure out how to remove the TC and I have no idea how this little boot is supposed to attach to the transmission. From pictures it looks like it's in the right spot, but theres no way this boot will stretch that far.
I also cant get the shifter to go through all of the positions so maybe that thing needs some sprucing up.

The little boot and foam gasket go inside the car, and attach to the floor pan. It seals the twist shaft that goes from the console down to the transmission. When you pull the carpet out, you will see the round place on the side of the trans tunnel where you need to cut a hole in the floor for it to go thru.
We were still parked when I took those pictures., They are flipped backwards though, I was driving. What do you think I am a monster?
I'm scared to take the carpet out, it's already not very good carpet. I dont think it's actually carpet made for the car

Oh, come on Doc! In order to fix peoples teeth....you have to stick your thinly gloved fingers into their nasty Corona virus infested mouths'. I would think carpet would be a cake walk....lol. Don't be skeered! It's 8 nuts on the seats and about 10 phillips head screws on the door sill plates, and then 4 seat belt bolts and the carpet is laying out in the floor. You're 10 feet tall and bullet proof....you can do it! Ready......BREAK! (end of pep talk)

Great pep talk. It's not being scared of taking it out per say. It's scared knowing if I take it out it's going to fall apart and I'll need to buy new carpet

Funny guys in here today. I'll just be happy putting in the radiator and trans cooler today.
This season are the bad spots on the carpet. It looks like he installed a new carpet kit but for some reason it's all cut up in the rear door floor on the drivers side and then it looks like he just draped extra carpet over the console shifter unit.
Well this sucks... I mean trans oil still goes through it but it definitely isnt good... I guess I will have to look for some...

Do you guys think I could cut the line and run a 6in piece of hose until i get new hard lines?
Yup. It works on the other end.only concern is dont let it droop. too bad you werent a neighbour, would throw it up on hoist and fix it just for fun...

Thought it was trans end. But, yes it will work. Double hose clamps and make sure line is dry.
I don't think so. I may be wrong, but I think the pressure is too much for a hose clamp. A scratched fender sucks, but a slushie run that leaks out all your trans fluid and burns up the tranny is worse.

He or she slid the nut back and put hose on. See the bubble next to clamp? It wont blow off. I usually do 1/2 a flare so it retains hose.

I'm going to chop off this line then hook everything up, new radiator is already in. Only "modification" I had to do was trim the mounting opening a little larger on the bottom. I just need a little hose to go from the radiator to the river flow bottle. Also my shroud doesn't fit nearly as well anymore and it's only held in place currently by some zip ties... hmm.
I forgot to clean the balancer and install the timing tape though
, so worried about the scratch and twisted hard line that I forgot to do that. -
