Frankly, the road race pan may solve my other problem as well as give me the added benefit of the baffling. The front cut corners just may give me the access needed for the rack mounting bolts. Hopefully AAndrews will chime in soon. He knows about the pan mod needed for the Altercation kit.

Its hard for me to tell because this road race pan's main sump is so much wider.

AAndrews pan may be different. Mine has the corner sliced. From the pictures he gave me his doesn’t look sliced.

That pan looks like it was made for that chassis. Very nice.

Well, it sorta was. It holds 6 1/2 quart including filter. They are trying to maximize the sump size within the small A-body K-member opening.

This is a 73-76 K-member of mine at Milodon on their mock up block. They're checking clearance with the prototype SB Milodon Road Race pan. Worse case scenarios: 73-76 K-member, manual, and then power steering.

And then TTI had me check header clearance.

Notice: In 1st pic, the driver side front was changed to a notch on production pans

Thanks! Mine is 30941.

I ordered (or backordered) the road race pan and pickup. I actually think both will work without mods but time will tell. I’d prefer the internal baffling in case I decide to track the car for some fun.

That pan ( or a 6qt) would have saved me some SERIOUS Grief installing on my Duster. Notch K after 5 on Sunday, in the summer, check, then.... the Patriots (by Doug's) Mexico, still killer, guess I could have spit more bread for tti, BUT, I'll bet that kick out in the high cap Milodon pan would HAVE STILL whipped my ***..... not a fan of that. Or proud of what I did to make it fit.... sometimes Pure BRUTALITY is needed to move forward...

I want to say hats off to CVF on this beautiful kit. Outside of a very small clearance issue on the fab aluminum power steering reservoir (which only required slight grinding and a shot of paint) it went together as smooth as butter.
The only issue is my impact socket doesn't fit through the crank pulley so I cant turn the motor over manually. Hopefully a standard socket will I just don’t have one.

One engineering flaw however is access to the crankshaft bolt. The socket doesn't fit through the crank pulley so I cant turn the motor over manually.

I like how you carried out the aluminum accent lines from the air cleaner, to the valve covers, and then pulley set. And the black short block and bare aluminum heads and intake. Everything is complementary.

Nice flow.
