New personal best tonight. Launch and traction still need work but it improved a bit.
Not sure if it is spinning or not. On that run I did a big nasty burn out and it felt like it hooked pretty good but the car does still feel a little lazy coming out of the hole, even under boost. Maybe it's the 3.23s and I'm foot braking. You are getting there! 7.19 isn't bad. The 1.75 60 ft because of spinning off the line?
I'm still working the bugs out of my Procharger build.
Sorry to hear the engine gave up but that is pretty darn good for a stock slug engine. I hope you get back into it soon. Best of luck!I've been running a stock magnum bottom end, E85 and turbo in my 3250lb Aussie charger for a couple of years now. I run around 10.2 to down the quarter. I'm surprised how long the bottom has lasted but it finally let go last night when I wount up the boost to 625 horsepower at the wheels. It's breathing quite badly and has a compression down on one cylinder so I'm thinking factory piston issue. Was amazing how long it lasted. Hope this build goes well for you because I was really happy with mine for a long time
I hope it works without having to touch my AFRs. If I switch to 93 for any reason I can just create a new profile/tune on the Fitech and alternate between it and my E85 tune. That's all in theory anyway. In practice it will probably be a big pita! Lol.Nice, had meth injection back on my srt4, was great to have just don't tune the engine to it unless you have the low level sensor, without it you'll go way lean, burnt a piston that way by accident, forgot to check my fluid level.
Too bad about your motor but it's encouraging to hear you did get pretty good mileage out of it. What kind of psi were you running when it popped?I've been running a stock magnum bottom end, E85 and turbo in my 3250lb Aussie charger for a couple of years now. It has an adjustable pressure switch. I want to trigger the meth at 5psi. If it goes too rich and bogs I'll increase it a bit.Well justntune a little to it, the meth will cause the afr to go a bit richer. Did you get a micro switch to activate it or boost reference?
I was running 15 psi. Once I got rid of the Chinese wastegates and put on some good quality ones it was such a reliable good engine.Too bad about your motor but it's encouraging to hear you did get pretty good mileage out of it. What kind of psi were you running when it popped?
Homestead/Miami Speedway. Pit row is an 1/8 mile plus.Nicely lit track. Where is that again?
First off, I'm very jealous you get to race this time of year. Nice numbers! My personal best is 7.16 on 10 lbs of boost but only at 98 MPH so you are making more power than me. It should definitely go high 6s once you get it to hook. Congrats! My 3rd and final run was a 7.18 at 106.5MPH. I have no idea what my 60 was cause the time slip machine was out of order after my first run but I know it sucked like the first. Once I get this thing to hook it will easily hit high 6s. These runs were on 10-11psi with meth injection.
Haha thanks! It's kind of the inverse down here. Summer is so damn hot and humid it sucks all of the motivation out of you to work on the car. Winter is cool (60s-70s) and low humidity. Great racing weather. Even with the low temp and humidity the DA was still around 1200ft Friday night. I reviewed my fitch log and watched my video from that last run and saw that I had to let off the gas twice as I lost traction. That's where my ET went. Need to invest in rear suspension. I wanna do a triangulated 4-link and make it street friendly but still be able to handle the 1/8 mile with modest 60' times. My stock slant leaf springs are flat.First off, I'm very jealous you get to race this time of year. Nice numbers!
