Has anyone purchased and installed a fuel injection throttle body system on there car?
If so:
What brand system?
Used on what size motor?
Do all brands use an in tank fuel pump?
Would you please provide both positive and/or negative feedback regarding the brand you installed.
Finally, how did you determine what size system to install?
I’m not a mechanic and will have someone qualified do the installation so please please keep my lack of technical knowledge in mind.
Thanks for your help!

Good bet is the Holley Sniper up to a mild modified motor. Can use a fuel pump outside the tank, needs a return line. and an O2 sensor in exhaust. Can handle up to 550 horse power.
Good results. I used a Fast 2.0 on my 408, a little more expensive and more hardware.

What are your thoughts on a 416 450hp 486 torque?

^^^ That's so cool! ^^^ That black thing must be the ~44 psi regulator. The old Ford TB's used about 14 psi and ran off a stock looking mechanical fuel pump. Not sure how they cold started, maybe they used an accumulator/filter like the mechanical Bosch Jet-tronics. That was a 4 micron filter!

I have a holley sniper on my Magnum based 408. I used the drop in holley in-tank fuel pump. I love it and haven't had a single issue with it. I even used the factory steel fuel line. I just capped the return fitting off on the sniper throttle body.

FYI. The holley pump assembly uses a Walbro pump. They are readily available and VERY popular pumps.

By the way somewhere, someone on here did a "diy" slip-in-the-tank Walbro style pump that's "a bit cheaper" than the Holley setup

The Holley Sniper is good for up to 650 hp so no problem supporting your engine. There are a few different Sniper models so you just have to figure out which one you like. The Stealth model looks like a carb and the factory throttle linkage will line up properly. The square Sniper is wider than a carb so the throttle linkage has to be adjusted. I highly recommend adding a Hyperspark distributor so the Sniper can control timing. The 12-319 drop in fuel pump module is the way to go. It makes the install super easy.

Fast 2.0 is supposedly good for 1200 h.p. , "not that I`m approaching that" ! I had to down grade my cam a little to make it have enough vacuum to run right .
That being said , the most knowledgeable guy with fast has gone to work for edelbrock , I `ve been told .
Mine is working pretty darn good so far !

I have a FiTech 2x4 1200PA system. It's on a 340 with 6-71 roots blower. Maximum hp of engine is about 700hp, maybe a little less. I used a Walbro 392 inline pump. It has timing control but I don't use it. I am a fuel only application. I did my homework before installing and shielded all the wires so there would be no chance of cross talk from electrical components and have not had a problem since I put it on 3 years ago. Sure beats the carb setup I had.

I tried calling holley yesterday wanting to know this, so no issues with using the sniper kit and drop in tank pump? Just capping the the return on the sniper will resolve this and not effect the way it runs or mess with the internal regulator by not running a return line?

Just cap off the return on the sniper. The regulator that is built into the holley in tank pump is set to the proper pressure for the sniper. My car has ran perfectly on the street and track. The stock 5/16 hardline is good enough for me, I've been 11.55 in the 1/4 and didn't have a fuel pressure issue.

Thank you sir! Just the answer i need, saving up for it now lol.
