Hello from Northfield MN, from a Minnesota Mopar girl!

And of course gals are more than welcome.

Look you can be part of the white old man club! LOL...
The car you're working on? That looks like a lot of the work's been done... Nice car..
There's an a body group here locally and it took a picture of all of us and I almost felt uncomfortable... lol... ZERO ethnicity or diversity LOL...

Ha! Thanks! I'll add some femininity to the group. The car has a good start, just needs a few tweaks and personalization. Looking forward to meeting you guys! Jen

You said this is the car that you're working on? What are you working on?..
Steering, exhaust, badges, minor fixes, add ons, etc. ... the list goes on ... there is always a wish list. :)

Thank you! There are some good cruising roads in MN! :)
Mostly 90, 35 and 94 heading out to the Dakota's. Got caught in a serious snow storm a few years back starting at St. Cloud and trying to get to Perham.

When they say gals are more than welcome that's an understatement...
Remember you got a bunch of lonely old white dudes here that will come running to your rescue the minute anybody says anything not kosher..
So I always got along very well with the women I work with because I just treated them like another worker showing the same respect I will probably treat you just like another member...
with that in mind I'll ask the questions that would have been asked a long time ago had you not been a woman...
What kind of engine transmission and rear end does it have? Did you pick out those wheels and do you like them or do you want to change them? There's a lot of people that don't really care for that modern wheel look on their old car...
I'm going to go out on a limb here and assume that you bought the car in its current condition? Do you have any pictures of the engine bay?..

Ha, well we can all use some help sometimes. Keeping in mind; I had a budget and wanted to get into something clean and running good ... it's not that special of a car ... but it runs good and it's a little better than a "20-footer". It's just a 225 Six Slant with the column mounted 3 speed automatic tranny. It came with the wheels, and they are kinda ghetto for my liking ... I'd like to get some old school Cragar wheels or something along that line to bring it more to period. I did buy the car as is and can post a pic of the non exciting motor, this is the only one I have on me ...

Looks like a fairly clean slant six. It should keep you going down the road for a long time. Those scoops on the hood give the indication there would be something a little more potent under there...
yeah I didn't want to come out and be completely insulting about the wheels but since you said something I will agree...
Well post up any issues you have with the car and I'm sure the guys will be LOL Head over heels to help you... I'll do what I can when I can...

Ya, that could be a bad area for a snow storm for sure! I love the winters here for ice fishing, but NOT for the snow.

Thanks, I appreciate it! I am sure they put the scoops on for eye appeal, which I do like, I just wish it had the motor to match! Oh well, next time ... just have to save up some more $$$. I'll be on the hunt for different tires and wheels next summer.

Yeah I always recommend just driving a car for a month or two and don't change anything. It'll tell you what it wants...

Myself I like the wheels. I'd get rid of the GM brake master and booster before the wheels.
Nothin' wrong with a /6.

... and a '72 has the biscuit mounts, a V8 with duals would sound awesome :poke:

And here you go...
You know how opinions are...
Things will be all over the board I mean there's 50,000 members here and everybody's got their idea of what they like and don't... Everybody knows a slant 6 is a great motor and will last five lifetimes but it's not the PowerHouse people up associate with a car with hood scoops LOL...
Again like I said I would drive it and let it talk to you not go changing perfectly great working brakes...
I mean changing a brake booster underneath the hood that nobody ever sees to be all Mopar specific and not getting rid of those as you put them ghetto wheels...

Well she just posted a pic of the motor bay so everyone has now seen it.:D
GM boosters on a Mopar is just a pet peeve of mine. :poke:

There's worse things than having a Chevy part under your hood which I have plenty of them... 3/4 of the parts under my hood are probably from China LOL...
Any complaints?...

Like I was saying with 50,000 members everybody's going to have their opinion. Just like one of my pet peeves being pimp wheels on an a body Mopar...:D
