Highest flowing sbm heads?

I also recommend calling IMM engines because he is very knowledgeable about the small Mopar stuff. I have used him for years and his porting is excellent (not to mention his machine work) and he is honest and not super expensive.

Yeah Brian at Indio Motor Machine he is a small block mopar guru I had him spec out a custom ground cam for my small block stroker. When it comes to small block mopars give him a call he will know exactly what should be done.

Want more proof? Find 1 high end engine builder that will associate his name with trying to throw 1200 hp at a stock block LA Mopar platform? I will wait....
Man, you are mad. I am sorry, I didn't mean to hurt your feelings. Oh and by the way if you look around there are a lot of people making 4 digit horsepower with a stock block. Oh and Brett Miller just did a set of CNC W5's that made well over 850 on the motor. I guess he likes sprinklers too. I love the internet myths. People throwing big money on crap they don't need because some know it all demands that he be the authority on it.
That has nothing to do with good flowing heads. Turbos, nitrous, etc have a way of making up for poor airflow. Power adders should have their own section.
It has everything to do with good flowing heads. EVERYTHING. See folks who are scared of power adders beat their chest like power adder guys are Neanderthal dumbasses. Well I have built a lot of engines for me, my friends, and paying customers. N/A as well as power adders. And I can promise you that a crappy working engine will make a crappy running boosted motor. Do yourself a favor read the articles Kenny Duttweiler has written on the subject.
I don't disagree. But whatever you do to the NA combo that makes more power gets multiplied by boost. Or maybe just run at lower boost levels?
No truer words have been said. People who get this have "magical" engines that live and make killer power at low boost. Don't tell anyone but I have a Ritter block in my current combo so its not like a dog in this fight.

Anyone making money with all this horsepower?
Any Wally's?

There are not a lot of people making 4 digits with stock LA Mopar blocks and furthermore I know Brett quite well as he has done 3 engines for me and is working on 2 more and I know the owner of the W5 engine and it is not a stock block AND Brett does NOT love the W5's for the same reason I been talking about but you choose to ignore in-between pounding your chest.....he doesn't really want the liability or bad taste in his mouth by going out of his way to use W5's that have a history of drinking water.....his meat and potatoes is W8 and W9 and that should be anyone with a fully functioning brains heads of choice ALONG with a race block if they are looking for 4 digits.......

Ultimately I'm not trying to pick a fight or anything. I respect what work people have done and most of you have done more than me, I'm just trying to learn and think about what is next for my next build. I would just like to know what heads out there are capable of say 350 cfm or more. Either they exist or they don't. It's not meant as an insult to anyone. This stuff does exist for SBC btw.

Man I am sorry I hurt your feelings. Please accept my sincere apology. Brett didn't tell me you were good friends. I didn't realize I couldn't speak about your closest friend. You are so mad that you are inserting things that I never said. I never said Brett loves them, I never said it was a stock block. As a matter of fact I have talked to Brett about the possibility of switching to a W8. He said that I am an anomaly for how my W5 motor runs. I can promise you I didn't listen to some dipshit, claiming to be an expert, on this forum tell me my stuff won't work. If I did that then nothing would run. Maybe when you calm down, let your feelings fade, you can have an honest and coherent conversation.

You are 100% right. I posted on this thread, which I never do because of peoples reactions, to help you gain some knowledge. The best thing you can do is not listen to anyone here. Me included. When you are ready to do it call Brian at IMM or Brett Miller. Those 2 will steer you in the right direction. Also, go on YouTube and watch Eric Weingartner. He is a Chevy guy but his knowledge applies to every head. I can tell you this though. CFM does not equate to horsepower. Its a good indicator but its only 20% of the info. Chamber design is huge and if you look at all that's out there from the Chinese heads or edelbrocks you find the chamber is a disaster. This hurts power big time. Just another piece of the puzzle. You will not find a cheap head that flows 350 cfm. You will need a W variety head with expensive parts to go with.

Can you post up a few pictures of your car. I have several southern friends and I’d like to see if they know you.

Set 20 grand a side and make some calls.

I’ve hit 318 cfm with my Edelbrock heads with a ported super Victor on my old 408 that ran 9.60’s. The super Victor at that time helped calm the air speed on those heads. On my current 408 with the same Edelbrock heads I have the nicest Victor340 that I’ve done to date. I’m betting it would run some very low 9.30’s but I run all 1/8 mile now so it’s been 5.98 in not so good air. It’s running better than my old 360-1 Indy headed engine right now but it only had a solid lifter cam. I will be reworking those heads.
This here is the guy you should be tapping for advice.
He's been making serious reliable horsepower with the small block platform for a long time.

350 or more cfm?

Edelbrock Victor

Right he should get with a reputable builder because its not just head flow. If he has a short block already built he will need to get a head with compatible chamber CC, get the builder to recommend cam and valve springs, and match up the rest of the combo like intake header tube size etc etc ect.

When I built my small block stroker I had Brian at IMM tell me what would work what wouldn't and got advice on the overall combo not "what heads should I use". Its not just the heads, one should not be looking at one component, you need a match set of components so that it all works together and teaming up with a reputable expert would be able to guide you there taking your budget and goals any existing parts you want to reuse ect ect ect into consideration.

I don’t make enough horsepower for this guy. He want W8 W9 horsepower on a Chevy budget. Lol.
I don't know what I have said or done to you to make you upset towards me. Anyway what I've learned from you is, there's no cylinder head north of 320 cfm to be had for a sbm.

I just listed two above for you. Here’s a short list

W2 in the right hands
W5

W7
W5
W8
W9
Gen 3
Edelbrock with the pushrod moved
Nascar stuff

To name a few. Pick your poison and your favorite head porter.

Now this would be a very interesting conversation to have.

We need Rat Bastid in here, I believe he's very familiar with W series head.
