Garage is set at 65*F and the house is 70*F so drying parts in the house. God if my wife was here she would kill me. LOL

Well that was a Wednesday! Boss decided that we’re gas junkie garage ,we’ve had a 68 chev k20 kicking around the shop for a while so because it’s slowing down a bit he decided to do a scratch and sniff frame off resto in 30 days  so the apprentice has torn it down to the frame , he didn’t even know how to get the shifter out of the transmission, I got it  then I suggest that he put it out side to wire wheel the rust off the frame to sideways looks , I again explained that it’s going to make a big mess bah what does the old guy know . Lol hey you should probably wear a mask or your gonna tase that stuff for days so that’s how my day went

So I suggested that after the wire wheeling that it gets pressure washed and neutralized so that was done and before painting go over the spots you missed , another sideways look so half way through the por15 application he decides to start wire wheeling again I says wtf why didn’t you do what I said , it doesn’t matter he says then says I’m a grumpy old man ……kids

When I was in the union we would get these apprentices. I’d tell them this is the way it’s done. So off they would go, I’d walk over in a while to see how their doing. Oh they would say I found if I do it this way it’s much easier. I would say ok and go back to work. Then would come the next step and because they didn’t do what I told them the next step wouldn’t work. Tear it apart rebuild it. As this is going on I would tell him listen bricklaying is the second oldest trade on the planet (tell me what’s the oldest) everything your going to try has been tried before, this method works. No probs after that

Don't you just love the young and full of piss and vinegar telling the craftsman how to do it?

Nobody going to take a stab at the question.
Don't mind the piss and vinegar or someone with an idea making work better it's the part the piss and vinegar when you tell them it won't work because I been there done that and they do it anyway.
