Morning fellas and Happy Saturday.
Little cool this morning and even fired up the furnace to take the chill off.
Probably be putting all the summer stuff away today. The bird baths have ice on top and our fountain does too till the sun hits them.

Been a lovely day and we didn't put the summer stuff away yet. It's going to be nice right through till next weekend and could extend even further.
Had a beautiful drive today. One guy on a Harley was in love with my car. His bike was beautiful too and I told him too.
Now sitting on the computer and just finished a rye and coke. Pork medallions for supper tonight.

Sounds like the best fall day Mark and glad you had a good time.

Had the Scamp out of the garage today and the MIL wanted a ride, so being a good son I took it easy at first and ask her if she would like to see how good it went, Yep she said give it a go so I did and made her day. lost a bit of rubber off the tires but was fun.

That's what it's all about!

Spent a couple of hours reorganizing my garage today, great day for it, 55*. Got the Ventura tucked in for winter and made enough room for my Bronco and my wife's Taurus. Dart will be outside looking in, again, lol. Would like to take it for a ride, but I have to renew the insurance and registration first, might make it my winter beater.
Wife called me at work yesterday to tell me that her car wasn't running right. Sounded like it lost a cylinder or blew a head gasket, just what I needed. Checked it out when I got home and it was only a bad coil pack, $100.00 and a little more than an hour later, running perfectly.

Was surprised that an 85 year old would like it but she did.
Heck, my mother is 89, she still owns a Thunderbird Super Coupe, with a 5 speed! Thing is in excellent shape, she finally got it appraised this fall, after I had been pressing her to do so. Valued at $20k! She was shocked and thrilled.

Kinda wish we didn't have problems with cars but yea seems there is always a problem.
Glad you were able to figure out the problem I don't think I would have found it.

Been a lovely relaxing day. Did some stuff around the yard and fixed my wife's yard cart.
How's the MIL doing Fred? Depression can do some awful things to you. Just ask me.
Have a wonderful evening.

Got it unloaded and snapped a pic

Mom's doing fine now I guess just adjusting to her new home a little bit at a time.

It dont look too bad to change but you know how that goes. Since about 1960 all combines are belt driven when they put the engines up on top.
The new combines have a 60 foot header and today saw a grain trailer out in the field getting corn off the combines that was the biggest I've seen and looks big enough to hold a semi load or more.
Can't even imagine working on the new farm equipment. Think your idea of keeping it simple is a better idea by far. You can fix it and the new stuff is you have to call a specialist to come out and figure out what the problem is before a mechanic can repair it. And now diesel fuel is getting harder to get and you know as I know what that is going to cause.
