No frost here yet. Snow half way down the mountain though. Best friend lost his brother to cancer yesterday. Boy did he put up a fight. Not too sure that's a good thing.

Sorry about your friend Charlie not an easy thing to deal with.
Your valley is one of the best I'd like to fly out there and visit you again. That was the best flight going over the mountains and looking down at that valley.

Any time Fred. Did Sam sell the plane? You can always ride the train. We'll l have a good time.:usflag:

Unfortunately it's all part of the life cycle. So enjoy what time you have on this earth and have no regrets saying "I would have liked to do that." Just do it if you're still able to. You're dead a long time and you're not coming back for a second chance.
My grand parents on my dads side my grandma passed after 60+ years of marriage. Grandpa just gave up you could see it in his eyes wasn’t a year later he died also. Funny how the work.

Think best to just leave it alone and do a new project. I just get bored and need to do something constructive Murray.
I'll concentrate on the double A Iv'e been wanting to attach bar stools to the sides of the flat bed and make a bar counter so people can sit and drink and eat. Call it an old fashioned tail gate party. LOL
LMAO

It's up for sale but hasn't sold it yet. You have some good restaurants there that have the best food and if I remember right there is an absolute killer pizza place there that you talked about.

Yea think the same with my MIL and sad to see but a couple that loved each other that much is rare anymore.

I think it has a lot to do with dependence too. I'm always trying to get my wife to be more independent.
My FIL always took care of the finances and the MIL has not a clue how to pay bills or the legal part so has been a real chore in getting things figured out. So to your comment on trying to make the wife independent is a Yea I can understand that.

Hell, who am I trying to kid. If my wife left me they'd find me on the kitchen floor covered in empty beer cans an a can of chili with tooth Mark's on it.

So?
My wife left me. She took everything but 6 pieces of furniture, my tools and my golden retriever. I (at age 56) started over. If she knew how happy I am now, she'd marry me again for spite! And the grand old dog lived until he was 17.

We never used the phrase tail gate party, it was always country drinkin. We would flip turns on the main drag pull into Larry’s chip stand or Vickie’s snack bar and question where’s the party tonight answer would be Bunker Hill or the bridge or power line or some of the other party places. Never made a mess had a bonfire always took all empty’s. Couldn’t do that these day

Yup. Power lines, the meadow, the shale pit, the train trestle...

I use to party under the power lines and yes bonfire and lots of beer. Good old dirt bike riding following the power lines and now is all city.
I remember taking 6 foot or whatever fluorescent bulbs under the low lying power lines and holding on to one end and pointing the other end at the power lines and they would light up and it made the party even better.

I remember living in Westport Washington and having parties on the beach and having big bonfires and nobody cared. driving my car on the beach or motorcycle and having a good old time.
Seems those days are gone.

Iv'e had bad luck with dealing with women so I understand.

After one dies the partner sometimes gives up on life and just wastes away. There was a couple here in town they died one day apart. Mind you, they were both in their late 90's and married over 70 years.

I met the right one at age 14 and we're both 73 now and married 50 years. Wouldn't want it any other way. We have a lot of laughs and that is what it's all about. Love, respect, and the ability to laugh at yourselves. Sure we've had the odd argument but that is healthy and clears the air but we never let the sun go down on an argument so never be too proud to say "I'm sorry".

You both also have great kids and grand kids so I think your family is as perfect as it gets.

Morning Mark hope your day is warm and sunny.
Thanks Fred and the same to you. My sister got her ride in the Fish yesterday. All windows down and the heater on lol. She really enjoyed it.
My wife and sister have gone to a spa for the day so I'm a bachelor today. Feels strange but good for both of us to get away. Weather doesn't look too bad today but is starting too cool down. It was 3 this morning.
Hope your MIL is coming along Fred. A lot of weight on your shoulders at present but wouldn't expect anything less.
Have a good one fellas
