I riveted thick pieces of belting to my secondary impeller. It smoked like a ***** the first time I started it. Squealed like a stuck pig and killed the engine on the first fire up. Been working great never since. That's been about five seasons I guess.
Never thought about belting. Good idea

I didn't see a single flake of snow here this past winter. Works for me. Retired a couple years ago from driving a truck for 25+ years, I saw all the snow I'll ever need to see.

I'm getting tired of it for sure.

Lucky me the city Mayor was cleaning streets and he blew out my driveway. Went around with him in the tractor and learned more of running the tractor and blower.

This is what they look like today. Getting beat up. I only put 2 on opposite sides of each other.

I delivered to this store early one morning with about a foot of snow covering everything. I backed in where it looks like a trailer is dropped. While I was delivering, the snow plows cleared Hwy 18 and made a 4 foot high wall right where I needed to get back on the highway. I had to back all the way around the building following my tracks because I couldn't tell where the edge of the pavement was.

And that's why I don't drive semi anymore.
Nasty having to back up that far.

You want to try backing into the Winnipeg post office when it was down town, designed for 48’ trailers and have to put a 53 in there on the second floor of the building. Ya the 2 nd floor. Only had 10 minutes to do it or you had to shut off truck and wait for exhaust fans to clear air. You say no prob but the posties wanted it exactly square with the dock or they wouldn’t unload you. For a guy that was just learning it was a nightmare that’s where I learned to back up lol

That place was nothing but a **** show.

Last time I was in Canada in winnipeg I dropped off a load of watermelons from down south in the USA. I was the last truck on the underground loading dock and was tight squeeze backing up. All that work getting the trailer in the hole and got rejected. My melons were to ripe. :BangHead:

Been rejected at anhouzer Busch a few times with malt barley but only a short drive to feed lot to get off loaded. But it screws up your reload

Been down to Florida at Budweiser with malted barley didn't get rejected and was an easy off load. Bastards never gave me a beer so never went back. lol

Busch Gardens in Van Nuys Ca. (LA). I was working a freeway job in a different part of the valley but had my motorhome for shelter in a little park right next to Van Nuys Airport, another story  . Going to the job I had to pass Busch Gardens and get on the freeway. Busch/Badweiser used to either sell their malted grains for critter feed or fertilizer, not sure which. I get headed up the freeway ramp and right in front of me is a semi end dump

that I had seen leave Busch. Well he did somethin weird headin up that ramp and the truck sorta paused and then lurched forward abruptly. His cargo was semi fluid still and over the tailgate it came:eek:. Me and the Yota were far enough behind to not get bathed in the stuff  but we got plenty as it splashed off the pavement  Got the weirdest look when I pulled into the yard at work and all my coworkers were standing there with their coffee cups in hand and their noses to the wind . I hosed the truck off twice a day for a week to get the odor to fade away finally

I delivered Kohler & Campbell pianos in the early 1980s, once to Winnepeg.

Morning fellas and Happy Friday.
This week literally flew by.
Hope everyone has a great Easter with family and friends.
Trying to get rid of this dam cold, hope it doesn't get resurrected
Going to be quite nice for the next week it looks like and could hit the high 20"s C they're saying.
Got to replace the pan gasket on the Cuda. Used a reusable one last time and dam things leaks.
Such is life I guess.
Have a great day

I don't drink beer but, in the mid 1980s, I used to pickup beer in SC or GA (can't remember which) and you could go in their break room and drink free beer while you were there. Employees could also drink free beer on breaks. But no beer could be taken from the break room.
