Always good to flush the system now and then. lol

So the new rad is in finally.
The guy took the old rad out and then found out it was the wrong rad. The bottom inlet was on the wrong side.
Had to wait till 9:30 to get in touch with Karbelt Speed and Custom.
When I told him the inlet was on the left side he said oh that is for the big block but had one in stock.
So called my wife to pick me up and going pick up the new one.
The mounting brackets were in the wrong spot so finally got that fixed.
Then they guy had to cut and flare the cooler lines. The first one was a snap the second one was a ***** and took 6 times to do it.
The shroud I had wouldn't fit but it's a bigger rad so shouldn't need.
I'll keep the old rad as I will sell it being a round top and they are getting rare.
And of course sell the shroud.
So I've been in touch with a guy in our group that works in the cleanup at the local dealership and see if I can pay him to clean up the engine compartment as I can't right now.
The good news is it's back on the road again.

Hey Mark, how many rows in that old radiator. I’m wondering if my 273 rad is going to cool my new hopped up 340.

The reason for the shroud is because they couldn’t or didn’t want to make a longer fan extension. With out a shroud you’re fan needs to be X # of inches from the rad to work properly the shroud extends that distance. Watch temperature gauge.

On a different note. Years ago when they introduced the 2 litre plastic pop bottles, they were advertising them as
Indestructible. We were having a tailgate party, one of my very drunk friends had the cap screwed on an empty. Waving it around, pounding it on everything. Indestructible he says bah. So of course being the friends we are we say well are you going to hit that thing or make love to it. He whines up and slams it on the top of my closed tailgate. It bounces back, right in the face, one black eye one bleeding nose one fat lip. We all just cracked up. He has never lived it down. One of the funniest things I ever saw.

Morning guys and a bit of a cool one right now but will warm up.
The Toronto Canadian National Exabition opens up a week tomorrow.
That's a sign summer is coming to close and then the kids go back to school.
I don't know about you guys but Summer seems to have flown by and even getting dark earlier.
I've only driven 271 miles this year so far.
Have a great day

Not much happening around the small town of Bisbee today, haven't seen one car pass by my house.

Got rained out on our siding job today. So out tinkering in the Lab. Sifted trough a box of junk that came from my Dads shop and found these, never saw them before anywhere. A compass for a yardstick
