I just saw you had mentioned to FOG that you wanted to see an Avro Lancaster up close so İ gave you some info!

Don't mind me, I am usually a day late and a dollar short.
He wanted to see inside up close Jeff, there is one on U-tube they take you inside.

This is Lord Tedder and the boys in the dressing room after winning at Wembley ,the first official hockey game in public . My father inlaw is at the bottom right hand corner.

A lot of them would rather talk about hockey...memories of the war were too painful. They fought their own war inside after seeing so much and being so young.

We've been inside the Lanc stationed at Hamilton Ont. We went to the Trenton Airbase Airshow many years ago. Mom was with us as well. We lived in Belleville at the time and we were sitting on the deck and the Lanc flew right over our house on a bank ... seemed like you could almost touch it. Mom was thrilled because she was in London during the blitz and saw many over the City. This Lanc also flew over Buckingham Palace for the 70th Anniversary of "D" day. It blew an engine while over there and got one on loan so it could fly back to Canada.

By the way guys it is at 100 years since world war 1. Give or take a day or 2.
Actually Fred it was exactly 100 years yesterday at 11am when the awful war ended. They just said yesterday that overall there were 10 million lives lost worldwide. And where were the Generals who started it? Oh yeah..hiding behind a desk. To be totally correct the surrender was signed at I believe 4am but didn't take effect till 11am that day. One of our lads got shot and killed at 2 minutes to 11. Wrong place at the wrong time.

Big dogs always sit behind a desk and stay out of the front lines.
Morning guys.

This is my oldest grandson Sean. He was helping his dad cut up a deer that he just shot. His Great grandfather would be proud as he was a butcher.

Sorry Mark, no fun for sure. What do you take for it ?
I've been on Losec for many many years and when the acid acts up I take liquid Gaviscon every 30 minutes or sooner. The worst is when lying in bed sleeping and you cough and acid comes up into your throat. It sure burns and wakes you up real quick then you're guzzling Gaviscon to counteract it. Wouldn't wish that on anyone.

Good looking boy Mark a chip off the old block. Most kids would have a frown not a smile doing work.
Thanks Fred..he was out first so a special place in our hearts but love them all of course but the first is always the best. He's got the family sense of humour too (God help us lol)

Nice going Mike. I've played pool for many years myself and not bragging but was quite good at it. I never went into tournaments and never played for money but I usually beat everyone. Funnily enough I got bored with it and put my cue away for 14 yrs. I got it back out one day and played with my son and got back into it again. Didn't take long to get back into shape again. But since I have lost the sight in my left eye which threw me off the game as you can't judge distance or depth as I see in one dimension instead of 3D like everyone else does. But I was persistent and got back to a decent game at least but far from what it was before. Next time your shooting stick close one eye and try a few shots and you'll see what I mean.
That's a nice place you have there and looks very peaceful. Nice garage by the way. Guess you can turn the AC of now.

Dam Mark hard to get a good night sleep when your insides are on fire.

I I can relate Mark, I worked for an eye doc and had to wear a patch on my right eye for 7 days, then sergery on it, I could not tell how far the door knob was no less a pool ball, man that is tough Mark, I had a furnace blow up on me as I was changing a thermal coupleer, on a roof with no gas shut off on this old doc office and rust filled my eye.. I was 32 and never want to ever go threw that again .. I played APA for 7 years and loved it, meeting new friends and all, but it was costly , I quit and bought my wife a new car for the same cost for me to play a month
