I don't really think there is much weight difference but will find out if I can weigh the parts.
Borgeson box?? steering box I would guess.
 
I will join you fellers in a few hours on the man drink. Right now trying to get the engine finished on the 3rd derby car and a driveshaft built for it. All 3 will run and drive and the building and welding starts then.
 
One day we may be like Mark and FOG and have 1 car to enjoy. Sadly I think if I dont narrow the field I may not even get 1 done to enjoy.

Chevy is on the back burner. It's hardly done right. It's kind of what I call used car work. I just work on it when I have nothing else to do. I don't want to sink a lot of money in it. Just make a good driver for someone and keep it affordable to make a buck or two. I'll try to do the 67 Barracuda a little nicer than this chevy will be. Id say you guys are doing it more right than me. That derby stuff is cool. I have a friend hooked on that too.

Yea Mark And FOG and SLO have some nice cars but we'll be right there soon just need some time to catch up.

I bought a turbo 350 for the Impala. That should prove to be a profitable upgrade over the powerglide. You can buy a different shift detent and indicator for the SS console shifter for a little over a hundred bucks. Tranny was $300. Almost a direct swap. Driveline will work. I will have to work on kick down linkage as the 350 is cable and the PG is rods.

Dinner tonight looks bad but really good enchiladas rice and beans with guacamole, sour cream, salsa and whatever that rolly thing is. Look out east coast warm weather is heading your way. LOL
