Time to bring the girlfriend over for a few days Fred. The mice will play while the cats away buddy.

Well Jets were my last hope on my bracket. Go Leafs! This thing is a mess this year. Even having the field narrowed down after last night I got no honking idea who is gonna win the Cup. The league wanted parity, I would have to say they got it. No idea who goes all the way now.

I think Columbus has a good shot , but I'm also pulling for the Leafs. I think Marner is hurt now too, which is not good. Go Leafs!

In all seriousness I need some advice, these mini tubs are kicking my butt after spotting them in I’ve been using a flap wheel on the welds , some like bubble gum (the up side down ones) so grinding them off then of course it gets thin again so I spit a little more weld ,grind some more , is there an easier way or just more patience?

MIG? PICS?. Should not need grinding at all. Practice is what you need. If everything is set up correctly when moving to an overhead weld you might need just a tad more wire speed but welds should be flat when done . Sound like you need better penetration. ( no not the glove). Clean and tight and more heat.

Yep only grind when the weld is gonna show on the main panel.

023 is better but 030 will work do some practice welds on a piece of metal and move a little faster and stop about half way through the weld then let it cool down and finish it. But make sure you have good penetration.

Ok I was thinking that the wheel wells should look like your inner fenders Fred , so am I obsessing to much over something people won’t see , I was going to skin them with short strand fiberglass in case of pinholes

Oh there in and tacked in place , spot weld ,spot weld ..............grind ,spot weld .......I am just not a patient guy , comes from years or flat rate can’t shut it off .

I’m heading out to work on the rusty tub later today, I guess what my farther used to say is true Patience is a Virtue

I here ya on the flatrate thang. Sounds like your doing it as right as you can with a bigger welder. .024 wire probably wont work with that welder.
