Let's see your Dodge pickups

I bought my 3500 single new. It always sagged a little with a loaded to the max enclosed race car trailer with everything we traveled across country to race.
I bought a Dual wheel same truck 3500 the springs had 3 leafs verses the 4 in leafs the single but they were thicker. I tow a 36 ft equipment trailer with that truck so we upgraded it to class 10 as per the dealer 5500 springs were installed. The truck took some pocket mods to the frame saddles.

Having the dual wheel springs left over we installed them in the single wheel. What a difference I should have done this when I bought it. I thought buying a 3500 you would get the same springs as a duall wheel 3500 you don't.

I would recomend anyone with a 2500 to install 3500 dual wheel springs. It totally change the truck It never gets close tho the factory helper springs with the trailer. And no bouncing on those highways with dips in the road.

This was the best thing I ever did to that truck. The dual wheel on the other hand rides like a brick empty. We put a 4 x 8 x 3/8's steel plate in the bed so it is bearable when driving empty with the 5500 springs.

My old 76 was like a Labador , couldn't keep it out of the water. Eventually rolled it and totaled out the body and put a 79 Lil Red Express on the chassis with it's 360 and pipes. Had the only 4x4 Lil Red around.

NO pics but I bought a new '95 Ram 3500 new, great pulling truck, 230,0000 mi. no issues except the front wheeling bearings went out at 100k miles. Bad Mexican bearings!!!!!!! I have had 3-4 78-80 cummins, bodies were not as solid IMO, but good trucks, the Getrag was maybe weak in OD? But PO had turned that truck p and it ran hard!
Trucks but back in the 60's were just that, trucks and drove somewhat like what they were. We did not notice that as we had never seen anything any different!

Is the trans a nv5600 or a g56? reverse over and down or over and up?

Steve....it's over and up. whichever one that is...lol. I'm 61 years old, and it's the only new vehicle I've ever owned. I had to put a water pump on it last year, but other than that not one minutes trouble. 114K miles. We don't have the 5th wheel anymore, and the heaviest thing I pull is my open car trailer with whatever will fit on it. I take good care of it, and change the oil and filter every 5000 miles, with a new fuel and air filter every other oil change. Never had the death wobble, thank goodness!

I got a life sitting here everyday with nothing to do but aggravate you I guess. My two 05's don't say dodge anywhere. Not even the Owners Manual.

I didn't say anything mean at all . If I wouldn't have brought it up what else would we talk about. I come to this site to bull **** and learn just like you do. If you had a better life than me we wouldn't be having this conversation.

So that aside. Hows it going, My name is Steve I live in Danielsville Pa

Hell Steve I didn't realize the new ones were NOT Dodge. I knew they went by "Ram" but did not realize they don't have the Dodge logo. I don't have anything that new. Actually I might here soon

You rebirthing the Duster? are you?

My '72 W200 crew cab. Former USAF truck, former Kinsell, ND FD truck.

Yes the Duster will be rebuilt better than it was. 40% more power and everything light weight. I am sitting at my desk early this morning trying to get a vision on the color . I see several options to choose from.

Sadly I just sold this to a gentleman who really wanted it. I missed it before I sold it. But I had to much rolling stock and this thing was just brutal around town. Fargo W300. I still have my 1997 Dodge 4x4 Club cab and 1954 M37 that I have owned for 14 years.

I had one years back. Did you all know With the divorced transfer case, If its a 3 on the column truck An a-body 4 spd. fits right in. Mine was 4 on the column. Reverse was a PTO cable. It started life as a slant 6 stick. I put a 340 4 spd. in it.

The trucks were 8 3/4 with 410's, Easy Sure grip instal. I fooled many. Street race it for two years. You all should have seen this truck leave at 5000 rpms in 4 wheel drive.I never broke anything accept one trans. I put it in first and forgot to take it out of reverse.

I never finish the paint a Caddy hit me head on. Yup that is me a long time ago. A reminder of the old days. Been doing this a long time. That was when we were working out of a farm. I had the Barn and the building behind the truck. I still have parts from then.

I've had a few.
This first one is a 74 Camper 9000. It was essentially a non dually 1 ton.

I painted it to look like a Macho Power wagon.
Second Dodge is an actual 4wd, a 75 Power Wagon with a 77 Grille. It was a rare one...440 4 speed in Omaha Orange. I hated the color so I painted it something I liked.

My 2012 Ram 1500. I wanted to get a '93 or older, but up here anything even remotely that old is rusted to pieces. Way too much salt used on the roads here in the winter. My '69 Dart below.

The last picture is of a session off road where I got stuck when a cut off log rolled upright and hung me up on the long center steering link rod!

While in San Jose CA November 2007, an illegal ran a stop sign and hit me broadside at the LH wheel, knocking me to the right and into a 1 foot diameter bollard.

Here is Old Faithful, purchased new. It's a 94 2500 TCD, currently sporting about 230K on the clock. Other than some kind of injector problem very early on (covered by warranty) and a blown tranny (about 10 minutes AFTER it ran out of warranty - thankyouverymuch) I've had just about no trouble with it. It was a DD for over 20 years, now retired to spare vehicle/workhorse duties.

Here's the newest addition to the clan. An 82 D150, slant with a 4-speed OD. The engine threw a timing chain so it's currently not operable. I struggle with what to do with this one. Other than a couple of dents, it's in fabulous condition. But I need another truck like a hole in the head. I have considered pulling the drive train and selling it as a roller. It would make a super BB street truck. It's way too nice to part out, although if it comes to that I may have to.

Just going to get the mechanicals in order first, then... who knows?
It spends weekends at Home Depot, Lowe’s and the dump!
