massive reconfiguration time again.

Just had a friend talk to me about this rabbit that him and his friends used to own but now his one friend bought them all out as it was a tribute car to a friend that crashed his rabbit and died. Anyways they got it down to a 10-7 but after the third pass it broke and now they got to put a few thousand more into it. I get it that it's a tribute car and they wanted to go fast but the endless boatloads of money to make that small car go fast it's just going to get someone else hurt...

Those real high dollar tuners are only good for a run or two! Kinda like a Ford!
I saw a video of a 3500hp gtr that ran 6.8 in the quarter and spun the entire track. It blew up on the dyno! I'm sure they rebuilt it again. That's probably a 150k motor in a 250k car!

Okay looks like I'll have Lord willing a day to dedicate to the Duster. The weather is not going to be great but most of the work should be inside. first thing I'm going to head down to Bi-Mart and get some vinyl paint or die whatever you want to call it. I'm going to go ahead and die the back seats black from the gold that they are now. I'm going to take the carpet out and start mocking up the bucket seats. Also I would like to jack the car as high as I can get it on 4 jack stands and start working on the vertigate shifter and getting that and it's linkage in. We'll see what the day reveals...

Keep at it.
I am currently waiting on the mailman to deliver a set of rings.
I broke one on the dumpster 318 I am building.
Total cheap refresh, file rings, fresh turned crank. A set of “J” heads cheap Summit cam.
Just need a running engine for my Cuda.

Sounds like a plan take lots of pictures I have to do the same to my back seat!! They are white I haven't decided if I'm gonna re die them white or go with black this time around. Its hard decision.

White keeps you butt cooler.

I had a 71 years ago, nice driver but needed a trunk floor.
My house burnt down with the title in it.
I never put the car in my name so I parted it out.
I also had a 71 Challenger at the same time, super nice finished car, I stupidly sold it when muscle car prices shot up.
But I also have a 70 Challenger now, so everything is good, as long as the slow *** mailman shows up with my parts.

Do you think white and burnt orange would look good together?

My car is orange with white seats, door panels, black dash, carpet, and headliner it looks fine.
There should be a pic of it in my pumpkin thread.

I have a friend who keeps going on how he likes white seats in a Mopar. since I have the white seats up front I thought about doing the backs and white but I think it's just going to be too sticky outty with a black interior...

Man your legs will appreciate white when you sit in them in the summer.

like I said got the bench out last night with a friend and getting started here. I don't have a clue how all these pine needles got in the car, but it is Oregon...

Tip on painting the seat, scrub the crap out of it, let it dry then wipe with lacquer thinner, it will open the pores up in the seat, and let the paint stick better.
FYI the interior paint Classis Industries sells is the best stuff I have used.
OER is the manufactures name.
The Dupli-color stuff is not worth can the material is put in.

How bout just put the seat where you want it?

Dam the holes!

I would suggest using a pneumatic jack hammer to puch new holes. (Thats my go to tool for holes in 18 gauge.) That should give you plenty of wiggle room?

Or a cordless drill?

LOL I just pulled the carpet back and revealed it looks like 10 holes on the driver side under the driver's seat! Lol this my 4th set of seats going in the car LOL it looks like swiss cheese already and I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to drill some more LOL last night I was reading how other people put reinforcement plates in when they put their bucket seats in? Oboy I'm in big trouble lol I say about 10 more holes and I'll be Fred Flintstone-ing it...

Bahahaha make that 14 holes! LOL yep had to drill four new holes on the driver side lol!! beat that Cope!!

I would at least use some big body washers.

a few 6x6 plates would be best. (Just like the cage)

My seats are fully seam welded to the floor and attached to the roll cage. They ain't going anywhere!

I got all my plate still on the floor just in case. I was able to read up on these and what people were doing last night and there is dimples in the floorboard I just drilled those holes out and the passenger side just dropped right in...

From the factory, A body buckets will drop right in bench seat brackets on the door side of the car, the inner holes need drilled.
I think you do not have A body seat brackets.

Still waiting on the stoner mailman, he must have needed an extra doobie break today, or extra long lunch from the munchies.
