massive reconfiguration time again.

How much air pressure are you running? I ran 32 psi with the MT's yesterday. Best 60 ft was 1.92. Time slip I posted was 1.94.
When I bought the tires I put 25 lb in them and drove it to pir where there's not good traction and raced and came home. On the next trip I took it out and went on a Long Freeway Drive and put 27 pounds in. When I took it to Woodburn where the traction is really good I had 21 lbs. I put 27 lb back in for the street.

I do want to experiment with lower tire pressures at the track though. Probably nothing lower than 16 pounds but I want to try 18 next.

Not raining?

Take the car out and drive it. Not 1 time not 2 times. Drive it 100 times. Get to know the car. You can tweak it as you get to know it.
How do uou think I will beat 318needsagear&moremotor. I will reacquaint with the car once it's back together as a daily driver.

Picture of me in my brothers 440 4 speed Challenger back in 80 or 81. I had hair back then and big testicles.
11.50 dial in stock 440 with headers, alum intake 780 dual feed and 5.13s in a dana 60.
It ran 10.30s with the built 440.
2700 pounds wo driver. (170). Street driven to and from the track.

I wish I had pictures of it with the hood off. The K member and frame rails we're all drilled. When you open the hood it looks like they used a piece of metal swiss-cheese. Same way in the rear end area Swiss cheese.
Subframes were tied together no roll cage. The inner Fender Wells had been removed and there was a piece of cloth asbestos replacing them. This worked pretty good with fender well headers.
No back seat and sometimes no passenger bucket seat. No carpeting.
Fiberglass 6 pack hood.
Super Trick rims.
The only thing added to the car that added weight was the frame connectors. Everything else was a removal of weight.

I have a real nice meter for work but i have that same meter at home. spin the dial back and forth a few time. thay will both read the same(or close enough). inexpensive take a little bit of compromising.
You'll love this... I grabbed an old one where the cables had broke and plugged the cables from one of those meters into an older meter and it said 12. 55 LOL confirming neither one we're good but all of them are crap...

I run as much pressure as it will hook with..... an aired up tire rolls best. But, gotta hook it up first. :)

And I have been trying to take it out a lot more. Not that I get to take it out all the time because well I have to work... but that's where all this fine tuning is coming from not taking it to the track, but trying to drive it a little bit and get the tune a little more refined...

16.20’s/mid-80’s......... same as my 93 Dakota Sport 2wd, 3.9, 5 speed, 3.21’s, short box....... when it had about 900 miles on it.
Oh yeh...... fiberglass cap on it too.

which is the exact same 16.20's I went with my '94 Buick Regal 3.8 (no, not the supercharged one.. LOL)

a second per year. not to shabby for not breaking the bank to do it.
You do know, you were very close to the 10's with just a few more tweaks.
but, an 11 sec street car is a lot more fun.

See this is one of those things where I clearly don't have to lie to make friends LOL if you look closely you can see next to my time there's a little number four with a circle? That was the fourth official timed track quarter mile pass I ever taken in my life. A 4-speed with one tire fire LOL you can see the 60-foot time was ridiculous. As well as my friend with his Corvette in the lane next to me with a six-speed. PIR is a no prep track, when I can manage a 1.9 I'm happy...
When that same combination got slicks and a Sure Grip it went quite a bit quicker and another carburetor made it faster...

I did not realize you made your first pass, what, 4 years ago? Glad you went... :)
