I’ve got a set of iron W2 rockers I’m not currently using if they’d help you. They made these .350 offset for me.

Appreciate it but I’m pretty sure they would be even less offset. I’ll take a break from it and rethink things. My other set of heads went 9.74 on a worn out block in Pa during the summer. They just need me to touch up the valve job and check the springs out.

I know it’s a little ways off yet but are you planning to put this engine on a dyno? I’d LOVE to see what kind of steam it makes.

In post 179 you mentioned using the Indy 360-1 style intake gasket for marking the ports in this head. Doesn't that mean you made these heads just as wide at the pushrod and now require the same rocker offset as the Indy 360-1, at around .800" offset? I am just spitballing here. Hope I do not make it more confusing. Really want to see this one completed.
Good technical posts like these, even when things don't go exactly as planned, are very interesting to me. Better for reading along than most books.

Been a bit since I’ve seen the HS stuff but IIRC they use a different diameter shaft than OE chrysler don’t they???
If it’s the same you can use a W2 rocker next to the HS exhaust rockers you have, although the geometry is different between the HS and the ductile rockers.
Damn...can’t think of a quick and dirty way to get this done. I’d love to see how this turns out.
I for one would just like to say thank you for you showing us all that you have in this thread, it couldn't have been easy to post this latest hurdle. It's easy to show our successes but for me at least it's a lot harder to show where we fall short. But I have no doubt you'll work it out.
It hasn’t been easy to get myself motivated the last couple of years. Between health issues that started in late 2016 and getting hit from behind last June in moms car and getting a concussion it takes the wind out of your sails. I kinda figured the way my son was talking he wanted to race his car this year but he has been sitting in front of the tv everyday since getting laid off two weeks ago. That pisses me off more than anything. He finally signed up for unemployment yesterday and has yet to file his income tax. And he has money coming back.
Thanks for sharing! I totally understand that kid thing, I have three of my own and if I didn't call them I don't know that I would ever hear from them. You raised them and think that when they grow up things will change but I worry about them more now then ever I think. It hasn’t been easy to get myself motivated the last couple of years. They made these .350 offset for me.
My engine builder used the Hughes rockers to suit the relocated pushrods. Seemed to work ok
.680 solid roller. So far so good
I was kinda worried when I check out the recommended max spring pressure on those and using a roller cam.
View attachment 1715497175 View attachment 1715497176 Well guys it takes a lot to totally piss me off but I wish I would have never taken on this project of moving the pushrod over. Taking a break from port work I plunged a hole along the tube and opened it up with a porting burr. 5 on and offs and things still won’t line up. Grind some try it, grind some more. I’m getting to the point of just grabbing my best set of stock location pushrod heads and finishing up this damn engine. From the looks of things my son doesn’t want to finish up his car for this year anyway. And my piece of crap sonic checker I bought is about worthless and not trustable.
