**NEW Edelbrock Victor Series Small Block Heads**

-
definately NOT a stock block.... just noted Jerry6 was speaking of a "stock" piece.... and posted this pict.
right it is r3 , seen 1200 hp engine on that dyno , never had a problem

LOL! OK then! Makin some power there HUH Tracy?!?!
I myself have a torque arm from Schmacher. (Sp?)
I hated ripping the stock ones in half. Wrecks my fan shroud.

Why not just run solid mounts Rob? I ran them in my 69 Dart. Granted it was only putting out 400HP, but it never moved.

Mike, I never ran solid mounts before. The "It will vibrate" set me on a stock mount, Schmaucher torque arm route.

Rob, they do transfer some vibration. Never bothered me much. Urethane bushings bother me more than solid mounts. I guess it's a matter of what you're willin to put up with.

Funny thing is I don't think my engine is making anything north of 450 hp. It is real torquey and my car is kinda heavy but it still surprises me to see what happened. One of these days I'll remember to post a pic of it

I hear on breaking the stock ones. They probably wouldn't live through one good holeshot with a stroker.

cant wait to see what these do wonder what pricing is goin to look like

your old W5's are going to be up and running before these heads come out Tony!

Yep!

From the Hughes site.

12/3/2014: According to our sources at Edelbrock, the long awaited small block Victor cylinder head is in the final machining process as we speak. They had them at the PRI show in Indianapolis Dec 11-13th and they looked great. We expect to have them available to sell sometime early in 2015.

Seems to me sales of their performer rpm heads will tank when they do bring these out. I suspect they will wait until something that competes comes along.

I called them a week ago and was told they have castings but no machine work done. I asked how long until they get machined and they told me it would be months. More important projects going on were their words.

So there is competition. Edelbrock must not see them as a threat.

Santa Claus brought me a set of these for christmas. If you believe in the tooth fairy.

Saw three of the heads on display this weekend at the eddy trailer....a fully CnC version.. a as cast version and a head that was cut in half to show the ports...

guy said they been trying 3 years to get those out the door....

And it takes another three years to get them?? Is there something problems with these heads or why it take so long to release them?

he said that the initial flow of the ports was not what they were looking for and they went back to change them...

LOL! Yea! OOOOOOO-Kay!
If those nudnicks can't figure out how to make/get a good flowing port by now....
Shouldn't they question the biz there in? And what else they could do, like, baby sit a laundry mat for 4 hours a day?
