SO agreed on that. It s amazing that you build your car for you and no one else and some A-hole ranks on your first day out with the new ride and let’s not forget the change from AWD to RWD state! Quite frankly I’m glad you posted up your stuff and the Trials and tribulations of the day. It isn’t as easy as others make it out to be.Pretty sure I spent money exactly where I wanted to for my street car. It'll be on the track maybe 3 times this summer just for fun and 99.9% on the street where I'll be having fun slamming through the gears. Secondly I'm still learning how to launch it and what rpm to shift at so it'll go faster if I do go a few more times. The trap speed alone shows that it's got the power to run faster.
Btw what car do you currently own or are you just a bench racer now who likes to **** on other people's first time drag racing posts?
Rumble's set in concrete, in what works for his knowledge. He's more than willing to learn ,what it takes for the winning light ,at the Chrondeks ..not a bench racers, didnt mean to **** on your post as you called ,good luck with your car, hope it works out for you
What I’m set in is “Your car, your way, for how you want it, for what your doing.”Rumble's set in concrete, in what works for his knowledge. He's more than willing to learn ,what it takes for the winning light ,at the Chrondeks ..
Hopefully, Rob agrees....
Chrondeks : usually the normal accepted timing light / timing system by most timing systems/ association(s)....What I’m set in is “Your car, your way, for how you want it, for what your doing.”
If your trying to go as fast as you can within your limits, I’m all for helping and listening. There’s more than one way to skin a cat! LMAO!
I don’t know what “Chrondeks” is.
But this thread is getting off track as it was designed and stickied to help others by showing them how you did it. Someone wondering how to “do it” may find this thread, find your build and copy it closely or exactly.
There’s no shame on a copy cat build. In fact, you flatter the person you copied. OH! I plan to flatter a couple of fellas here by the way.
Nice combination! Exactly why I hang out here ,and the reason of this thread !I sold my first Mopar that I strip and street raced to a friend that was into dirt track racing and he asked if I would build him a nice little small block. This was probably around 38 years ago so I said yes and he said how much would it cost him. I told him 5 dollars plus parts and he laughed. With the five dollars we bought a bag of jawbreakers that we all chewed on while building the engine
340 stock pistons and out of the box rings
Polished stock crank recon rods
Slightly polished set of J heads
484 purple shaft cam
Portasonic intake
750 Holley
3200 pound Duster with super stock springs
727 with J convertor
1 7/8 headers
8 3/4 rear end with 4.10 or 4.30 gears
First time at the track for him he went 12.40’s
Next week he took 2nd and ran 12.20’s
We always laughed and refered to it as The Jawbreaker Engine.
those are super cool numbers. running into the 12 with such a high 60ft time. top! And i fully understand that you want to go into 11.99 like me. Stick shifting as well ... but.....Pretty sure I spent money exactly where I wanted to for my street car. We're talking 1/4 mile not the 11.50 you ran in the 1/8th. And just because your to dim witted to learn how to drive stick doesn't mean it's a thing of the past ! LOLstick shift is a thing of the pass my dart had a lot less done to it then your car and it was not a stroker ,went 11.50 you spent alot of money in the wrong places

Can’t figure out how! But when moparracerman spills his guts, I guess we’ll find out.Well then that escalated quickly.
Yankme Chevies were weak at the strip and not much on the street. Most 340 and 440 cars would beat the Yankme's.
So take your Yankme elsewhere. THIS IS A GREAT THREAD ! lets not ruin it.
Sorry Rumble, he yanked me the wrong way
