Yeah. Grody. Well, Just let me know if you're gonna pronounce um dead. ....and what I owe you for lookin at um. You ain't in this for charity work. lol I thank you sir.Well, the lifters arrived today, and boy, you wasn't kidding when they were described as being a little skanky. I'm not sure there even gonna be usable, due to some pretty heavy pitting on the sides, and the face of several of them. I did clean one up and grind it so you fellers can get a idea what they look like after grinding.

Bein' that the Slanty has no pressurized oil gallery at the lifters, how much tappet to bore clearance would You be comfortable with, I never actually faced that situation in one to think about it.Well, the lifters arrived today, and boy, you wasn't kidding when they were described as being a little skanky. Generally .0015-.0018 is good, but too much is just as bad as not enoughBein' that the Slanty has no pressurized oil gallery at the lifters, how much tappet to bore clearance would You be comfortable with, I never actually faced that situation in one to think about it.
OK, I figured it would need to be snug, with only drainback oil it's probably more critical the more I think about it......Generally .0015-.0018 is good, but too much is just as bad as not enough
Got the adapter plate on the Super Six intake. Now I'm ready for a Holley 4412 two barrel. Probably more appropriately, a chinkesium knockoff Holley 4412. lolView attachment 1716323481
Drain back from up top, and splash from the rotating assembly provide plenty of oil. I've done a bunch of small blocks with bronze lifter bushings, solid roller deals, and I dont even put a oil hole in the bushing unless the customer requests it.OK, I figured it would need to be snug, with only drainback oil it's probably more critical the more I think about it......
Believe it or not, Those won't fit. THey are between the BBD and Holley 500 bolt pattern. I have one too and it will not fit the intake, OR the adapter plate. Weird.I have a 2bbl from a running 400 here at the shop : D
Yeah that's the one. That's a bastard one only bolt pattern. Same as mine. It's in between the BBD and Holley 500 pattern. Really weird. How does yours measure uo to this?
