What intake is that? That’s a killer piece with the intercooler integrated in to it.

This one was hand made off his own 3.5" core. By Wes Chadwick of Chadwick Racear fab. More than half what they charge at the big boy shops and just as efficient up to 2k hp.

It's setup to work well with my 3800-4200 rpm typical leave and they expect it to flash in the high 5k range on this setup.
Cool. DO you have it tight enough to drive to the ice cream store?

Tuned up enough for a trip to tractor supply and putting the grocery store on the way home.

Today also commemorates 9 yrs since I bought her back in 2015.

Have been doing some driving to give the computer some time to learn and go through the motions on all the new upgrades. But we're making tuning adjustments snd incentives wait to hit the track.

Went out to the highschool today, oreillys otw home and all.

Latest update, I've been driving her around town putting some miles on her and when i was doing some more driveline stressing, I had a intermittent cam/crank sync error pop back up. After pulling some shielding snd trying to repeat the fault while I manipulate the harness, I was unable to get the fault to repeat. So I have a 12-1 external crank trigger I got installed yesterday. Have to pull the plug to verify were really at TDC the correct way, then I'll throw the charge pipe back on, load the tuneup and fire jt up to see if I can get it to repeat out on the road. But can't do they until it stops raining.

I also have a HCR innovations harness coming because I've long suspected the holley harness has been the culprit. So if this 12-1 crank trigger doesn't fix the issue I'll just sell that setup and the her innovations harness is already being built and will be here very quickly after.

Well we had our first outing of 2024. First pass after a completely stripped track in the off-season, i was a little too hot on the leave first pass. So I blew the tires off on the leave during pass 1.
Found a crack in my co2 line during pass 2, and ran a 10.1 on wastegate only. Leaving on 2.5 psi of boost pressure at the line snd 5 psi down track. I fixed that issue snd then during pass 3 the dome pressure **** the bed during the burnout and I made another wastegate only pass and went 9.8 on only 5psi of boost.

Now test I've fixed that I cant wait to start making passes under boost soon.

Good morning everyone. I have the dome pressure sensor issues all fixed up and I'm going to be installing the new cam and crankshaft sensor one last time to see if I can get her to play nice before having to do something more invasive.

I'll be attending a roll race event May 18th at Bremerton raceqay with some of those 1/4 to 1/2 million dollar high end exotics and GTR's, so we will see how that goes. Been what amount to an airstrip with bo real traction areas other than right ay the beginning, the new traction control on the dart ought to help. I've never experienced that before so it should be interesting.

I also have the Olympic Drag and drive scheduled to start at Bremerton on May 31stthrough June 2nd. That will also be a first but a good test of the streetability of the car with the drag, swap tires and then driving all day and then racing again on Sunday. So that should be fun.

Made it to my first roll race. I always thought jt was kind of dumb, but definitely enjoyed this experience despite the exhaust Leak limiting me to 8psi. The only races I could get were against built street bikes. This one was against a built kawasaki H2.

Had some fun during the event and definitely needed more than 8psi on that bike. I'll be attending their next one July 20-21 to try it out again.

Still going next weekend the May 31- June 2nd for the Olympic Drag and Drive. Just got her fired up on the 92 octane tune today and when weather is nice Monday I'll be driving it around to do some more learning in the computer.

I have been completely behind on updates as of late. Been busy working on the car, racing the car and packing up the house to get ready to move back to Virginia.

To catch up I'll start with the first ever Olympic Drag and Drive May 31st -June 2nd. Starting at Bremerton Raceway Friday the 31st. We got one TNT run before our 3 passes for that day. This was my first time ever going down the track there at Bremerton. I didn't expect much after hearing this and that about how the grip wasn't there until later after rubber was actually down. But after walking the track I felt confident in my first pass tuneup and settings for the car and right off the trailer the ended up being my best run of the weekend. Leaving on 4 psi at the line i was able to cut a 1.32 60 foot and run a 5.9 on only wastegate pressure of 7psi. Those who have followed know I have battled a cam/crank sensor issue for the better part of a year to year and a half since switching to the 408 with a 24x1x sensor combo.

Pass 2 and 3 didnt go as well seeing as the sensor sync error happened on both passes and only went a 6.15 and a 6.2. Decided not to beat on it any more seeing as I didn't have all the gear to troubleshoot with me. I opted to just enjoy the drive on Saturday and see if I can gain some knowledge in the meantime on a way forward. Camped out in my enclosed trailer that evening with a Shipmate of mine who flew in from Phoenix for the event.

We started the drive portion Saturday morning and got to checkpoint 1 at 9:30am. We drove around a portion of the Olympic peninsula, stopping at 5 checkpoints in total and ending up back at the track that evening around 5pm. During that time the weather started to get worse but we all wanted to finish the drive anyway. the rain started coming in and the forecast for Sunday was undoubtedly bad enough to call racing off for that day and end the event after the drive Saturday. Even on 1/4 of the power I wanted to run, i was still able to finish 8th in limited street, with a event best 1.30 60ft on my 3rd pass(no one has told me that got there quicker). Overall a well run and planned event by Lane and Jeremy and I wish i could have been around to run the next one they planned.

Overall the car never skipped a beat during the drive portion and the only issue all weekend of beating and driving was the sync error racing.

After the drag and drive we rolled into my Daughter's final dance of the school year and of course she wanted to go out with a bang so I chaperoned and we drove the Dart. She had all the kids in school drooling over her car as well as her attire. Ended up picking up one of her friends at the dance and she rode back with us in the back seat on the way home too.

Following that, I cleaned the dart up that evening. Then Saturday morning I drove her an hour up to the Arlington Show n Shine the next morning and spent the day up there checking out a lot of local hotrods. Then drove her back home another hour on the same tank of gas which nobody could believe.

After the drag and drive i narrowed down some boost leaks, as well as got some info to hopefully help me with the sync loss error on my car. I made some adjustments and decided to catch the test and tune at pacific raceways this past Friday night.

My son was awesome enough to come along and give me a hand, and luckily he did because i got one of my all time favorite pictures of him and I together after the last pass.

Pass one i tried something different and left in 2nd gear with more RPM to see if i could get it to build a little more boost off the line with a high RPM limiter on the launch. It didnt get anymore boost on the 2 step but still went 1.4 to the 60 foot leaving in second gear and was enough to hurt a full bolt on/e85 tuned hellcats feelings. The crank sync error cam in again and it died off and i had to let off and get back in it to run out the 1/4 mile and still managed a high 9 second 1/4. My data log didn't start during that pass so i had nothing to go off of data wise.

At that point i said to hell with it and brought the launch rpm down a little to where i knew the car liked it leaving in 1st gear and left everything else the same. Which turned out awesome as the car went A to B without issue for the first time in a long time and I went a new pb for this new setup at 8.9 at 150mph. Turns out it ran that on only 12.5 psi of boost down track(further boost leak testing needed) with a new PB as well for 1.25 60 foot.

That got the heart pumping and I cant wait to keep moving forward on this setup and really lean on it. If the error continues to pop up ill switch it to a external crank trigger or to a 58x4x sensor setup like my previous motor had and hopefully alleviate all the issues and really get this thing tuned up this fall.
