Very interesting. One of the photos looks like a car show. Are there are lot of american cars? How hard is it to get parts? Or aftermarket performance parts

it's so hard , we must ship it to a country around iran and pay smugglers to bring it , so it will cost 4 or 5 times sometime

mopars are so expensive in iran , for example this red challenger refused to sell the car for 20000$ , unbelievable

in the last photo you can see that 1970 barracuda before restoration , doing restoration of a car in that shape is so hard even if you are in america , it is 10 times harder if you are located in iran , so it shows that how much people love to save these cars here

What's the trend for people there buying from North America and importing them there these days?
How much does a gallon or litre of gas cost there?

all of them imported when they were new , each liter is 0.30$ so if a gallon is 4.5 liter so we can say each gallon is about 1.35$
it's illegal to import american cars now

...and I have been here 8 years.

iran has a classic car club that it has branch in each city , and has separate clubs for each car , for example mercedes club , vw club , american cars club , bimmer club and ... , they have their meeting every months and they go to trips each year to visit iran landmarks or nature ,
and it has some private clubs that they enjoy some trips together , as like as "tehran cafe racers" or ...
and there is also a federation under FIA laws , it name is "touring & automobile club of iran " sometimes it held rallies for families or classic cars , and there is other federation named "motorcycle and automobile federation of iran" it held all car and motor cycle races , there is also other clubs & ... about cars...

in the last pic you can see my grand pa , he is not a mopar fan , also he is not car lover , he does not know what is "mopar" , if you ask him what was the name of that car he says "chrysler imperial" instead of "plymouth fury" i don't know why.. but he had that car.

Very cool pictures. Thanks so much for sharing. Who would have known that there were so many Mopars over in Iran. So many of them are good looking and in good shape even the ones in the junkyard. I especially like the pictures of the early barracudas and the 62? Plymouth wagon. it is good to see that even though we have differences we have similarities to. I like learning about different cultures and other people that are different from myself. We are all people, and most of us are good people.. There are just a few rotten eggs that make it bad for the rest of us.

the way iranian live the life is similiar to americans in some ways ,
most high end muscle cars that was imported to iran is 73 thru 78 big block pontiac trans am s , and those big block 71-73 mach 1 s
