Any one try one of these and have any feedback ?
Bought one for my son's valiant with a 5.9 swap. We haven't run it yet but i don't expect any issues in that regard.
My issue is the dual use provisions. it comes with plugs that we could not get to go into the unused bolt holes for the LA style heads. Probably supposed to be done with a press or something but if you don't have one... well I wasn't comfortable whacking on any harder then I was with a hammer. We're going to ream them a bit and JB weld them into place... or something...
Toss the plugs in the freezer overnight and try againBought one for my son's valiant with a 5.9 swap. We haven't run it yet but i don't expect any issues in that regard.

If you don't have a press try a C-clamp. A good one. not a pot metal one.

Ours had HUGE core shift. ports would not line up using the LA bolt holes.
hope to try it with the Magnum holes in a future project.
Good.. didn't know it was a dual fit and comes with plugs for extra holes.
Intended use here is for a 340.
Thanks
That is concerning for sure. So you bolted it on a LA and the ports don't line up properly?
How you see the offset at the ports?, can't really look down the runners on a dual plane.
I had an Edel Air-Gap that was that bad but it was S shaped! Sat a Crosswind next to it and it was laser straight. I heard The Crosswind wasn't sand cast but made from permanent steel molds but from a manufacturing process student looks impossible to do 100%, maybe the ports only?View attachment 1715419259 so far off it was pulling oil from the valley into the cylinders from a small gap at the bottom.
Put an Eddy Airgap on it and it fits and functions perfectly.
You get what you pay for. Pay for ****. Get ****.
Ours was on EQ's.Well, the two I have had here were better than my edelbrock. None were even close to what moparpirates looks like.
My oldest son's is on eddy LA heads, my middle son's is going on Mag RT heads

Oh my !I have both and they all need port match work to get them right. If you order from Summit and the core shift is so bad you can send it back for another.
30 years ago, when you bought Edelbrock, Weiand, Offenhauser and any other name brand intake, this kind of thing was the exception and not the norm. A shame, really.
I just went to the spare bedroom to look at my Offenhauser Port-O-Sonic intake for my 351C Ford. It's a total badass intake with the 4V sized intake ports. They are perfectly in line, no excess casting flash, just a beautiful casting. Also, possibly one of the best intakes ever made for the Cleveland perhaps only eclipsed by the Strip Dominator. All this just makes me want to look for vintage parts all the more.

I don't think Ive ever seen a bad Offy intake. They were some of the nicest stuff out there.
Vic was way better at marketing.
