Stop in for a cup of coffee

I was at welderup when they were building that. I saw the tracks going into the shop on the forklift. Steve came out to meet a few people and got a picture with him.
Was a great day.
Too bad the rod didnt turn out so good. Havent seen anything on tv featuring it. It was slow.

Yeah *most* tracked vehicles have a top speed between 45-60 mph. There’s exceptions of course but the types of tracks he has I’m very familiar with, they have a top speed of 45, recommended of course.

I just finished this one. It's from a photo I took back when I worked at the Philly Navy Yard. It’s the carrier USS John F. Kennedy with the carrier USS Forrestal berthed next to it. It was an awe-inspiring experience to stand at the edge of the water nose-to-nose with those 1000’ long beasts...not to mention the feeling of history from those two ships.

Good enough fellers

I remember now why paint and body work is so expensive.

I sanded for 3 hours yesterday and got most of one quarter and a little into the roof.

Sanded today after work for 2 hours and didn't even get all the deck lid and deck surface.

Got sanding dust everywhere and there is so much to go yet.

Sanding off paint to do bodywork, or sanding bodywork to paint? If it's the latter I'd say you're making good time and better than me.

Every once an awhile you get that part where you look at it and think to yourself, I may actually get this thing done! I got my drive shaft today and it was one of those parts. It made me grin like a monkey.

Mostly paint only found two small spots of old body work. For the most part original paint

Looks like a ball and trunion conversion driveshaft I have one that looks like that for my valiant and it is to eliminate the ball and trunion setup but still use a flanged 4 speed

Impala with no heat, could cook a chicken in there when i was done.
Sunfire had no leaks.

Had to pick up some storage cabinets. Wife’s work is getting renovated,so far i have 6 pieces,i think 6 more to go. Thats more than i need. Wouldnt want to think what they cost new. Tons of storage.

Man, the wind is howling here tonight. 20 mph steady with gusts to 35 mph. Temp is right at 30* now.

Winter is trying to make itself known.

I'll probably have to take mine out one more time. A little below freezing and windy. She got a good gust and ran up the steps before she was done all her jobs. lol

This is the time of year that I don't miss the dog.
Ten years ago the wife and I both deployed. Our little dog was left with her parents.
Wife came home a couple months before me. When she got back it took her three months to get our dog back.
Apparently the in-laws had formed a bond with him. We got him back but only with visitation. Every few months he'd go down and spend a couple weeks with them.
Fast forward three years ago wife had a hip replacement. The dog goes to the MIL during her recovery and rehab. The dog is still there and has become the worlds most spoiled puppy.
This fur ball gets weekly chiropractor treatments, acupuncture, Chinese herb treatments, and an occasional doggie massage. The best yet is Doggie Day care three or four days a week. Our dog doesn't want to come home.
