@Tooljunkie Was it you who suggested the hub noise might be rotors hitting something? If so, you were close. Retaining clip came off the inner pad and the outer pad moves with a bit of excess runout in the rotor. I'll have to get some new rotors.

Hard to explain, i take a big chisel and wegde the outside pad up into the caliper, then beat on the small tabs to tighten them onto the caliper. Beats the anti rattle rubber bands.

If it was a while back, maybe.

I get the concept.
Dial indicator showed about .018" runout, so thats probably why its moving back and forth every revolution.

Always done that on Mopar and GM. Beats all the anti rattle paste, ands etc out there.

What ya been up to?? Haven't seen you so much the past few mornings.

Yep and its already at the shop. I took the carb tag off and noticed it had a tear almost all the way across. As you know those things are like paper thin.
I turned it over and applied a little super glue. I had some shim sheet the same color so trimmed a small piece and glued it on the back to. Its saved!!
Should have the carb back in about six weeks.

I have no idea what the body on yours looks like does it have that tube out the center front of the top plate?

I messed with the new radio yesterday, a comedy of errors but we've all had those days.
Good thing I'm on the wagon right now or I'd of had a very strong drink last night!!

Made a fixture to straighten shafts on that lathe I got from Tike. Hillbilly but works great. Been super busy doing rebuilds for the spring rush and also trying to get stuff done for Carlisle also. May will be a bust for me to do things. Prob the last two weeks of next month also. Daughters wedding is going to take a lot of time up.

I am glad she has a good hold on it so far. I just hope I feel ok that day and the wife also. Should be interesting, country wedding, jeans and cowboy shirt type deal. Held in a wedding barn and a lot of activities there I guess. Should be interesting with the new Yorkers trying to deal with a no suit non Italian wedding! Told her the daddy daughter dance will be the chicken dance. She has no idea if I am serious or not!
