Stop in for a cup of coffee

Sometimes the CMOS battery goes bad on the motherboard. Some you can replace and some you can't.
This is true, but most of the time the CMOS battery only looses the date and time but will still allow the computer to boot up.
We have people call that say "Every page I go to says there is a security problem" and the wife tells them to check the time and date.
Even if the CMOS battery is dead after setting the time and date in windows everything goes back to working normally. (untill the next boot up with the wrong time and date):D

The last one I did that with DID have a problem with the hard drive. When I plugged it in the new computer 'fixed' it and was able to recover everything.
My problem now is I have a few old hard drives laying around and no clue what I saved elsewhere. Need to go through everything and organize old files (mostly pics ) in one place without duplicates. Just hasn't moved high enough on the to do list to take time to do it. Only thing I noticed I am missing is some early build pics from the Duster. Think they might have died with the camera or phone I had at the time, or they are on a SD card that is MIA. Not terribly important anymore. Just details I wish I had putting it back together.

I can't tell you how many times a good OS has repaired a corrupted HD file system for me.
And sometimes a drive has a corrupt OS boot file that I can replace using that cable with a copy of the offending file from the computer I am using to access the drive.

Got a 2014 VW Passat TDI in the shop now. Coolant leak, but cant find it. Yesterday i let it run, no see. then this morning I see a small spot on the right, by the wheel. Pulled it in on the lift , and ran it to heat it up and pressurize it. Turned it off now, maybe I can find it....:BangHead::BangHead::BangHead:

Having to design a business image/logo for my mock business proposal assignment and so far, all the submissions from my class SUCK! Including mine

Dang, I need a 64. I put the 65 Coronet I was interested in on the back burner. I need to get on the other side of this heart valve, liver thing before I commit to buy another car. :BangHead:

At used car lot... There was one ( I forget what it was, Pontiac Sunfire maybe ) that dumped a good bit of coolant after a test drive on Saturday. Customer said, "fix that and I'll buy it". So while I was there on Monday they had it running with the hood up and could not find source of the leak. Then the thermostat opened and a stream of water spewed from a crack in the top edge of plastic coolant reservoir. The guy standing at right front fender got a wet shirt. It was one of those newer setups, pressurized reservoir, no cap at radiator.

Guess i killed the guy with the $2500 plus quote. Havent heard from him.
To replace axle i have to tear down the one side,so it will save a whack of labour. But the rear axle seals look like i pita.
Just got a call on an engine swap, and supposed to quote on another. I need a bigger shop.

Well he accepted the 2500 quote. Now i have to stay within budget.

Cleaned the shop a bit.
Took the t-bars out of the box and unwrapped both. Clocking doesn't match. uh oh!
Take some photos and angle measurements, yup, sure is different. One is 15* which is more than needed.
...and then the light bulb in brain finally connects.
