I figure if I mix some urethane with some lacquer and top coat it with enamel I should be fine..
As long as they're all from different manufactuers..

I have seen guys paint a car with a roller!! Lots of cutting and buffing but it looked OK. Just OKNah, wrinkled surface and sags are “in” for new auto finishes these days...

Just doing what I do
I have painted a few cars over the years with lacquer and alway liked using it. The ‘56 Caddy I did the interior on also, and the vinyl tops on the other 2 in addition to painting them all.
I always like lacquer, very forgiving if you made a mistake, just wet sand it out and re spray the area. No real waiting time to do it like on keefers car. That sucked like a hour to re spray it.
